I have a pattern for a purse. I now need handles. I want black, circular handles, at least 7.5 inches in diameter. However, I can’t seem to find them anywhere. Any ideas?
Any craft store should have them. Do you have a Michaels or Ben Franklin near you? If you don’t, or can’t find what you’re looking for, I’d try the hardware store. You’d probably be able to find something that looks like what you want (even if it’s not labeled as a purse handle).
I’ve seen a large variety of them in Michaels and some pretty simple ones in the craft section of Wal-Mart. Because of the popularity of cigar box purses and the felted knitting craze, they are sold a lot of places.

I just came back from shopping, and I just saw purse handles. I was at a JoAnn Fabrics store. They had black ones, and some interesting pearl ones, and many plain and fancy types of straps.
I would assume any decent craft supply store ought to have some, and I’ll chime in and say try Michael’s, as well, but give JoAnn Fabrics a try, too, if you can’t find any.
