Here is Saskatoon Canada we have the Bassment.
Believe it or not Saskatoon has a jazz club and Calgary doesn’t!

Lots of clubs feature jazz on a given night. For a strictly 7-day-a-week jazz place, my pick for Portland is Jimmy Mak’s. Mel Brown plays there frequently, and you just can’t go wrong with Mel.
Jazz Alley is still here. A more recent arrival is the Triple Door, and over the past year I’ve seen better jazz there than at Jazz Alley. Tula’s is a great spot for local musicians, Consolidated Works for avant/improv stuff.
The best jazz I’ve seen here has usually been during the Earshot Jazz Festival (Oct-Nov) or in occasional faculty concerts at Cornish College of the Arts.
A shout out for Steamer’s Cafe in Fullerton, CA. Great straight-ahead jazz, and I’m looking forward to my third Annie Sellick show in as many years come the end of the month.
