Where did "I'll be in my bunk" originate?

See subject. I learned it here. I like it. I plan to use it, when appropriate.

I always thought it was from the series Firefly.

Does anyone have a more accurate answer?

Firefly, yes. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/IllBeInMyBunk

A great show and movie. And the “I’ll be in my bunk” line was very funny.

Though the series is named Firefly, the movie based on the series is Serenity, which is also the name of the ship the protagonists live on, and the two-part debut episode.

Yes, but the line in question was from the series, not the movie, and it wasn’t in the pilot episode, either. So there’s really no reason to mention Serenity.

I think it might have been Firefly, but I could be wrong.

The post above mine said it was a good series and movie, hence my own.
