That depends on whether or not someone made a thread implying someone was a child molestor. Which wasn’t the case.
Sure it does, the way you used it up there. Otherwise, why say anything at all? The only reason to say “I know something about this, and I can’t say anything” from someone with your generally good reputation is to lend the implication that the something you know validates the decision you’re posting about.
I’m sorry, did you somehow mistakenly or accidentally fail to PM this to Fenris? You seem to be unaware you posted it in a visible thread on a public message board.
Well, a lot of us can’t believe that a board ostensibly for adults has a banned words list like some kind of kindergarten playground, so there it is.
Why are cunts a protected class of genitals while dicks are just left hanging there, softly swaying in the breeze?
No it didn’t.
:smack:
And you seem to be unaware that Fenris broached the topic, not me. As to why you haven’t taken him to task for not making it a PM…I don’t know, why haven’t you? Why don’t you send him a PM and work it out, since that’s your preferred method, right? Follow your own advice.
But no, really. You’re suggesting that since he broached the subject in public, I need to limit my replies to PMs. Pursing a line that when someone else broaches a subject I’m not allowed to respond to them in public, even if my response is to try to be polite and let them know why I can’t respond, seems either to be insanity or an attempt to bait me in ATMB.
How unfortunate.
One would never know that by reading this thread.
Well, no, but yelling at other people who have the temerity to respond to the public post you made in a public forum because obviously it was meant just for Fenris seems a little unfair.
You perceived that as “yelling”? It looked like a simple difference of opinion to me.
I did, yes. The boldface read to me as yelling. This exchange seems like a simple difference of opinion, though.
Some people just don’t fucking get it. It’s bad enough they’re allowed to call each other “shit-guzzling prostate inspectors.” If we let them use “motherfucker” the entire system will collapse.
My boldface was meant to be emphasis, not yelling. The fact that he wanted me to respond someone else’s public broaching of a subject with a PM, while himself picking on this with a public post instead of a PM, indicates he may have missed some critical facts of the conversation, thus I wanted to emphasize this.
BESIDES, I THOUGHT YELLING WAS IN ALL CAPS? Or giant font? Or worst of all, ALL CAPS IN GIANT FONT?
Again, just because there are ways around it doesn’t make the rule less retarded.
I think the the phrase “How unfortunate” should be banned because it is arrogant and condescending.
Or at least be banned from *two *uses in one damn thread. Ugh.
We seem to have a difference of opinion about the rule, but I think you calling it “retarded” over and over again doesn’t make it any more so than if you only say it once.
Okay. I want public responses, so I’ll post it publicly. And not complain if other people weigh in. Advice followed!
I’m suggesting if you don’t want the public to comment on your post “for Fenris”, then don’t make that post in public. It’s pretty simple, really.
It’s a hard, cruel world. Sometimes you just have to suck it up.
Because Ed doesn’t have a hard-on for dicks like he has for cunts. He’s just another tool of the heteronormative elites.
Uhh, huh huh… You said “tool”… [/Butthead]
That’s what I like about my browser settings—all those foolish font sizes get displayed exactly the same as “normal”, be they larger or smaller than “normal”.
I wish I could just turn off the big fonts. Sometimes the small font is used for good comedic effect, but the big ones are pretty much always annoying in any context.
