Where did you go to high school?

W.T. White High School, Dallas TX (I would have been class of '82, but I opted out in my junior year, got my G.E.D., went to community college for a couple of years and then SMU university).

Yep, I survived the D.I.S.D.!

I won’t put my kids through that district, though. We live in the Plano school district.

Gateway Regional High School
Woodbury Heights, NJ
Class of 1974

John Marshall High School
Los Angeles, California
class of '75

La Habra High School
La Habra, California

Class of 1974

How serendipitous! I technically graduated there 18 years later–boycotted the ceremony because of the blatant, unapologetic sexism of the gowns. Stirring up fond memories, I’m sure, plnnr!

Peotone High School, Peotone, IL
Home of the Blue Devils

Class of '73

90 in my graduating class, so I’m not looking for any fellow alumni

And at least there are some people on this board who don’t make me feel old. Thanks, guys.

Honest question: in what way were the gowns sexist?

I think you probably went to school with my friend’s son. Small world.
As for me, Truman HS, Indepependence, MO. Class of 1993. I actually walked into the school yesterday evening to pick my nephew up from Debate. Everything looked so… small. Weird.

It’s good to know that we Kansas City-area people are making a showing. Not quite the numbers the Clevelandites and Michiganers are throwing our way, but still.

We are legion. sorta

No, but my grandfather was his scoutmaster.

Close enough.

My neighbor taught there for years but retired in the late 80’s.

BTW, Morgantown High probably has the only mascot named after the yearbook.

Yes, we were and are the Mohigans.

I’ll really have to go back and read the whole thread to see if I know anyone, but for now, I’ll just post …

West Essex Regional High School
North Caldwell, New Jersey
Class of 1994 (and no, I don’t think I’m going to the reunion.)

Saint John’s Ravenscourt School in Winnipeg, followed by Selwyn House in Westmount, Quebec. >.< evilevilevilevilevilevil…

Blue for the boys, to symbolize strength. White for the girls, to symbolize purity. No switching amongst yourselves. And as the gowns were cheap and tissue paper-like, the girls’ gowns were all but see-through. And they required pantyhose. Way to go, class of '00.

So yeah, I bailed.

Wow. You’re sure this wasn’t the class of 1900? (Don’t people wear clothes under their gowns though? I know I did.)

I bet you’re right. I also remember Blind Spot and a show where Dance Hall Crashers headlined and No Doubt, still just a wee blip on the radar, was their opening act. HA!

Regis High School (in New York City). Class of 1977.

Although he may be from somewhere else, I think Epimethius (sp?) lives in KC. Haven’t seen him in this thread.
I’m actually pretty glad I haven’t come across any old classmates. I was glad to get out of there because a good number of them were complete assholes.

Union Endicott High School
Endicott, NY
Class of 1989

Just had my 15 year reunion in July. Out of almost 500 graduates, less than 30 showed up at the reunion. I only went because I was back in town for my godson’s second birthday party. I’m glad I went though, I ran into some old friends I had frankly forgotten all about! We reconnected and will hopefully keep in better touch before the 20th reunion!

Another Taxachusettian here. Waited for a while to make sure no one from my og-forsaken high school years would come back to harass me again.

Norton High
Norton MA
Class of 1983
