Oh man, things must have changed! Grand Ledge actually ended up losing to West Ottawa in the State quarterfinals, which means, IIRC, that they had already won 3 playoff games. Not too bad for the alma maters…
I never really liked watching Grand Ledge play until my brother started. He’s graduating this year, so I can stop caring again.[/hijack]

Actually a very famous school - you’ll see the school in lots of movies including the recent Freaky Friday, and the soft-porn 70s flick The Cheerleaders. We had a lot of celebrity’s kids in our class, such as Sean Cassidy, the son of Ted Cassidy (“Lurch”), Teresa Laughlin, the daughter of Tom Laughlin (“Billy Jack”) and now a fine actress in her own right, Kiki Vandeweghe, the son of basketball great Ernie Vandeweghe and now general manager of the Denver Nuggets, and a couple of classmates went on to stardom in their own right, including Susanna Hoffs, lead singer of The Bangles.
Now…I DID see a UniHi (University High) 1975 graduate in this illustrious crowd, they were our crosstown rivals. :rolleyes:
