Just wondering where butterflies bed r the night? I’ve found larger moths resting on the side of a building, under bushes, and even one resting on the vertical part of a curb! But, butterflies are more elusive. So, where do they go at night?
I’ve seen them clinging to flowers waiting for the sun to shine on their wings. Sometimes there is dew on them that needs to dry off.
If you’re a Monarch Butterfly, you hang out in trees in huge clumps. (This photo only shows a small clump–larger groups will cover the branches of dozens of trees, it’s an amazing sight.)
