Where do I renew my membership, and by when do I have to do it?

Title pretty much says it all.

Click on “subscribe” on the nav bar on most SDMB pages. To retain your charter member status, you need to do this before April 28, 2005, when all such subscriptions expire. We’ll be posting a FAQ about re-subscribing in a few days.

If we do it now. Is there any financial loss?

I just renewed and it just extended my original membership expiration date by a year. After I clicked the first button, it looked like I was going to be charged $14.98, but when it got to the actual form, it displayed the correct price of $7.48 (although how that’s 1/2 of $14.98 is still a mystery to me…).

So, no financial loss that I can see…

For charter members, no. If you are a guest thinking of subscribing, wait till March 28. For you we have such a deal.

Psssst. $14.95, not $14.98, and so half is $7.48 …

Actually, half of $14.95 is $7.475.

Does that mean that we get to renew next year for $7.47?

Or is the SDMB keeping the extra half pennies for hamster treats?

It’s like Superman 3.

I’m one of those people who has the “charter member” label even though I didn’t sign up until July 2004. This feels like a stupid question, but I’m gonna ask it anyway: Do I still have until July 2005 to re-subscribe?

I was thinking the Office Space scam…

If you go to User CP, then click on Paid Subscriptions, it will show your expiration date.

You’re not trying to whoosh me, are you?

Unfortunately, no, I wasn’t. :smack:

don’t mind me…
