In a fit of age related panic several years ago, I bought a huge wonkin’ treadmill. Which I used for awhile. Which then stopped working, conveniently after the warrenty had expired. And then it sat in the room for the next five years. I want it to go away. Where does one take a dead treadmill? Dump? Landfill? The Island of Misfit Toys?
Advice much appreciated.
Better yet, have you tried calling a used sporting goods place (we have Replay and Play it Again Sports here, etc.) and seeing if they can tell you who repairs/refurbishes those things? Someone may be willing to give you a couple of bucks for it as well as haul it away. Win-win!
In most places I’ve lived, the local trash pickup has a “large item” day several times a year, when they’ll pick up large appliances, like refrigerators, clothes dryers, treadmills and the like. Call your local town hall and ask them.
