It seems like most people only shop at two or three clothing/shoe stores. What are yours?
Target and Fleet Farm.
Kohl’s.
And when i look at the prices for other places, i go back to Kohl’s.
I rarely, if ever, buy clothes. My sister is a fashion fiend and has closets stuffed full. Every now and then, my mother gets sick of this and does a clean-out, sending me garbage bags full. I keep what I like and give the rest to Goodwill.
When I do buy clothes, it’s almost always from the clearance racks at discount stores. I resent spending money on anything besides books, so it’s rare that I’ll spend more than $5 on an item of clothing.
Mostly J. Peterman. Other than that I do large, full-mall shopping bonanzas that in the end only produce two or three items I would be willing to wear…
Mostly Ann Taylor Loft. Some Lord & Taylors. Shoes come from Nordstroms.
Susan
K-Mart, Target & Goody’s.
Penney’s, Chadwick’s and Kohl’s.
Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Target. Target is for the good stuff.
Who’s having a sale?
Seriously, that’s when I buy. When Dillard’s has a sale they mean saaale. I’ll stock up. Same with Goody’s. I try to sneak a trip down to St. Augustine, FL cause I just love it there, about once a year. There are some outlet stores at the main I95 exit for St. Augie. I’ll hit those at night to buy clothes, stuff for Christmas presents etc.
Me too. But it’s my brother in law’s girlfriend. The only thing I buy is jeans (she doesn’t wear my size jeans). Target and WalMart.
TJ Max and the like. I like nice clothes but I don’t want to pay department store prices. I just drop in every now and then and see if they have something I might want in the future. They have some nice stuff especially if you are willing to wait until something good comes in.
Lands End on-line, WalMart, KMart. Occasionally JC Penney or Kohl’s but they are limited in their big fat women selection.
Abercrombie, Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, American Eagle, Nordstroms
Mervyn’s for pants. Paradise On A Hanger for shirts. Costco for socks and underwear, although all of my T-shirts say something on them, so I probably bought them as a souvenir.
Mostly LL Bean. Their stuff is more expensive than a lot of places, but their pants and dress shirts fit me well and their stuff keeps looking good far longer than most places. (I’m hard on clothes, since I’m the kind of person who wears the same three or four things over and over.)
I also hit sales at Macy’s, and buy t-shirts and stuff at Target.
Ross, WalMart, and Target. Ross is awesome as long as you have the time to look around.
Oh, how I used to love them at their peak! I’d buy a skirt and a suit every season, despite the prices. Now they’re just a shadow of their former self.
In person: Lord & Taylor’s (formerly Altman’s, till they closed); Ann Taylor, Talbot’s.
Online: Lands’ End.
New York & Company. They actually make pants that fit short women! Their petite sizes range from 0-18. And their clothes are professional without being old-ladyish.
For underwear, socks, gym stuff, and shoes, I go to Target.
