Where have your shoes been? (In travel, that is)

I’ve seen a lot of threads over time in which people tell where they’ve been, but let’s get a bit more specific. Do you have a pair of shoes that you wear practically all the time and everywhere you go? If so, where have they been worn? Stupid things like layovers at airports count, too!

My current shoes, since the summer of 2001, I think:
U.S. States
Alabama
Arizona
California
Connecticut
Delaware
Florida
Georgia
Hawaii
Illinois
Indiana
Kentucky
Massachusetts
Michigan
Missouri
New Hampshire (possibly; can’t quite recall)
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
Ohio
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island (another maybe)
Tennessee
Texas
West Virginia

Other countries
Cape Verde
South Africa
Zimbabwe
Zambia

Damn, can’t play. As I’ve done my travelling over many years there is no one pair of shoes.

My favorite footwear is this old pair of Vasque boots. I bought them in 1992, and I wear them practically every day. The list would be longer, but I didn’t take them on a couple of the trips overseas.

Maryland
Delaware
Virginia
West Virginia
North Carolina

Arkansas
Texas
Oklahoma
Kansas

Expecting to add several new locations in Canada and the U. S. this summer.

My old boots from 1998 (dark red Grinders) have been to:

Arizona

I don’t travel much. My big Europe trip was in 1999.

Well, that’s a little better than I thought. One of these days I’ll get out my travellin shoes and really go to town. I just wish I wasn’t so freaked out about flying.

I’ve a pair of Hi Tech boots from 92. I bought them for a semester in Ireland. They’ve been to:
Ireland
England
Northern Ireland
France
Germany
Russia
and probably a number of states but I could never tell. I still have them, but use them to mow the lawn in now and other work type jobs.

My motorcycle boots I have now have been to 47 of the 48 lower states, missing Louisiana. They will be going to Europe with me this summer and will hit 15-20 different countries.

My Dr. Martens have been to

England

The Mr wanted to have it replaced but I wouldn’t let him, too much history for me.

However on my last journey to SE Asia (2003) I left it behind and acquired a discman in Singapore.

So I guess I have to start all over now.

Great idea for a thread!

Peace

Well, that means they started out in some sweat shop in the Pacific rim.

Malta (all over the main island)
Ireland (County Kerry, Cork, Waterford, Killkenny, Carlow, Wicklow, and Dublin)

Scotland (no further north than Edinburgh and not much further west)
