Where should I look for poll results?

About a week ago, the MPSIMS moderator posted a message in a thread I had begun. What I would like to know is: If a moderator honors a request–such as I made–where do I go to see if a poll has been posted about the thread, and the results, if any? Thanks very much.

You could always simply send me an email and ask, Dougie. I didn’t poll the membership, because I have a feeling I already know the answer (I’ve seen several requests on the board that the thread be closed, and received several e-mails with the same request - requests I’m inclined to honor out of fairness since I’ve closed recently several long and long-running threads that had few participants). I don’t really care what people would say in a poll, because it won’t be a representative sample of the population here, and this board is not now, and never will be, run by popular demand.

Anyway, you asked:

To this I would say, that the number of views of your story thread is well below the average views per post in MPSIMS. Other threads on the front page of MPSIMS have more than 15 views/post on average. Your thread has only half that many number. And about 25% of those views are from you and the other remaining participant in the thread.

Now, you said you wished to continue the story up to the “benefit,” whatever that may be. When you get to that point, let me know (my e-mail address is available in many places on the SDMB), and I’ll close the thread. In any case, you have until next Friday at noon EDT, at which point I’m closing it wherever the story may be. That should give you guys plenty of time to wrap things up.

Next Friday being February 20, 2004.

I acknowledge your points, UncleBeer. If I understand you aright, you say February 20…I will seek your e-mail address…perhaps NDP and anyone else interested may make other arrangements with me.
The “benefit” is an element of the story line; a theatrical performance.
I may perhaps consider posting a “sequel” thread and see how that is received…
