Where should I mount my new light fixture.

First a picture of the area

That was my backyard last summer during the patio construction. You’ll notice the post light and the light next to the door are the same.
Now, in the center of the picture you’ll see an outlet mounted on the siding, directly to the left of the piece of plywood. Umm kay, everyone still with me. I’m about to install a door that will be just to the right of that outlet. I’ve got another light, identical to the other two on it’s way. My first question is, do I mount the light to the right of the door or to the left of the door. If I mount it to the right, they will both be on the right, if I mount it on the left, they will both be on the “outside.” The second question (which I just thought of) is, do I mount the new one at the same height as the other one or at the same height relative to the new door. The new door will be about, ohhh, maybe 9-12" lower (maybe more) then the one in the picture. I guess they should both be flush with the top of the door, it would probably look strange to have it mounted that much higher then the door I guess.

Oh and the new door will open in, so there’s no concern about it swinging into the light, and since that will go into the garage, there won’t be a screen door on it.

Later, I’ll have to measure how much lower the new door will be, but I think having them both flush with the tops of their doors would make the most sense.

Oh one last thing. This is purely for aesthetics, the post light alone does gives off enough light for a party and the light by the door is plenty for letting the dogs out. I just want to know what will look the best.

I would place the light fixture so it would be on the left side of the door, towards the yard. It should also be placed flush to the top of the door.

BTW, nice patio.
