It’s a lighted wreath. I had one a few years ago that had a little hidden battery pack. I couldn’t find one of those. Besides, the batteries didn’t last long.
My new one has an electrical cord. Yay! no changing the batteries every 3 days.
But, where in the hell am I supposed to plug it in at? Even if I had an outlet outside the door, how could the door be opened while the wreath is plugged in? Am I supposed to run the cord under the door and plug it in inside? That’s still going to interfere with normal door usage.
So I have this fancy new wreath with lights on it, and if the porch light hits them just right, you can see them.
Do you have a light outside on the hinges-side of the door? If so, you could get one of those adapters that add a two-prong outlet to a light socket, and run them off of that. If it’s on the other side of the door, you’d have to get inventive with the cord…
I usually put it outside and squash the cord under or beside the door so it can reach an inside plug. Not so good for the extension cord, but hey, it works.
