Where to find ALL the cable channels there are?

A friend of mine was talking about MTV2. I wasn’t aware that that channel existed. She wasn’t aware of the GOLF channel.

Is there a place where I can find a list of all the cable channels there are?

Or where a lot of them are?

Actually I am not looking for what my cable system HAS I am looking for a page that lists ALL the cable channels that exist period. Whether or not my system carries them.

For instance I know WTBS and WGN are superstations. It would be interesting to see if any other local channels were like those.
