Where to Get the Rubber Ring Thingies That Drive Jukebox Players

Dang, talk about a long-winded title, but I’m trying to make it descriptive.

I have this thing I’m restoring, inherited from my father. It’s a Seeburg LP console that has a jukebox selector mechanism. You dial in the number of the LP y ou want to play and the head/player goes to that slot and pulls out the LP and plays it.

It’s 1970s jukebox technology and the rubber ring that runs on a pulley to drive the … uh … platter, I guess has stretched out.

Anyone know what I’m talking about and where I could get a replacement?

There ain’t as many amusement companies as there used to be, and I can’t find one in my area that I might call on.

(In case you’re wondering about this beast, Seeburg gave them out to amusement companies that bought their product back in 1969-1971 or so. I think it was, you buy 10 juke boxes, they gave you one. First year, the company my dad was a VP with, they got one and that went to the president/owner. Next year, they got two of them, and Dad got one. They’re kinda a rare bird, having never been for sale to the public–well, never for sale at all as I recall, and no one I talk to knows what the hell I’m talking about.)

Thanks,
LOAP

turntable belts?

Sounds like you’re describing a turntable belt.

Have a look at some picks off the top page of a Google search:

You also might want to Google up a Sams Photofact for the beast once you know whether you’ve got an AP1, an HS2 or whatever model.

Thanks, some good places to start my search!
