Where's the best city to live?

I’m looking to move away from home, and I’ve decided I want to leave Massachusetts altogether. I’m looking for a relatively cheap city, preferably where there’s no snow, but one that’s not completely dead to civilization. I used to live in Tallahassee, Florida, and it was right up my alley. I’d go back there, but I’m trying to seperate myself from certain people, I’d rather not get into it. Any suggestions? Also, I’d probably have to get a roommate, so places without multiple serial killers would be nice too

The only real city I ever lived in was New Haven, CT. I loved living there. There are pleanty of nice neighborhoods close to downtown, museums, little shops, a ton of colleges, and theatres. Its got the same problems as any city, but I would consider moving back. Of course, there is snow, so it doesn’t meet your criteria.

Why don’t you move here to San Jose?

You won’t need a roommate because we have three extra rooms.

I’ll fire my chronically late, braless nanny and pay YOU $14/hour.

Um, will the braless nanny be at the Super Bowl party?

[sub]just wondering…[/sub]

Hmm…$14 an hour DOES sound tempting, but i’m assuming a nanny position would require dealing with kids. After 5 years of babysitting, I’m all set, but thank you for the offer!
Would you be willing to pay me just to be braless? :stuck_out_tongue:

I was in Pasedena last week. It’s about 20 minutes from My San Fernando Valley, but I rarely get out that way.

I suddenly realized what a charming place it was. Lots od artsy stuff, old-style architecture, some great bridges, the Rose Bowl, great landscaping…

I may move there.
