Where's the little girl?

It’s definitely NPR’s Science Friday with Ira Flatow. I listen to it every Friday.

Meh. I smirked. It’s just a joke, but given the last few years of cell phone videos of cops, it is a little poignant at the same time.

I think the biggest problem with it is that it hinges on ONE joke…and that joke falls flat due to performance (the cop, not my friend) and the directing.

The wildly shooting guns bit at the end is pretty funny though.

Yeah, just a little.

That was the best part.

We should declare our political parties when we comment.
I bet you guys who like it are Republicans.

I laughed, but more so because it was ridiculing the cop stereotype.

“Sense of humor” really differs from person to person.

In what ways did you feel it was ridiculing the cop stereotype?

They were behaving like macho asswipes, which is my stereotype of cops, anyway.

And the “there’s the little girl” joke was hilarious/unexpected.

I’m not clear on this. How is acting like a stereotype funny or ridiculing the stereotype?

Satire, perhaps?

My fault for trying to explain humor. Never try to explain why something is funny.

I laughed. Some people I’ve shared it with have laughed.

I laughed.

How is ridiculing something funny? That’s one of the most basic definitions of humor. You didn’t find it funny which is OK, but what kind of question is that?

To explain a joke is to kill it.

Don’t I know it.

What do you get when you cross a mouse and an elephant?
mouseelephantsine(theta).

A giant rat that’s afraid of its reflection.

I’m a liberal Democrat and I laughed.

How much do you owe me?

I thought it was dumb- until they (SPOILER!!) drove away shooting. I laughed at that.

I never bet with a guy who has “Weasel” in his name; they tend to be sneaky.

I lol’d.
