I saw this last year when it was new, and it cracked me up. Yesterday I ran across it again, and I’ve shown it to a few people who, incredibly, hadn’t seen it.
Wow, the picture quality is awful. The original is much sharper.
Thanks!!!
Dumb. And not funny.
In the immortal words of Fez: “That was hilarious!”
Agreed.
Add me to this list.
I’ll even say why it’s not funny: it’s punching down.
I just love how funny cops are. Some of them will even shoot the guy, then it’s even funnier. And then they claim it was self defense and they don’t even go to jail. Man, I can’t stop laughing.
Never saw it before now. Wish I hadn’t clicked on the link. Unfunny and stupid.
…A friend of mine is the driver. That’s weird to just stumble into a thread and find.
I want those 2 minutes back.
If this was an attempt at being funny - it wasn’t.
(For clarification: I’m critiquing the videomakers, not the OP.)
I thought it was leading to some commentary on bullying and how it wouldn’t be tolerated in adult situations…now I’m just confused.
I don’t get it either. Is the victim of the prank supposed to be an acquaintance of the police officers who is in some relevant sense above them or in need of being deflated or something? They sure didn’t establish any of that.
It’s exceedingly misogynistic no matter what: “You’re so pathetic you’re like a little girl”
I guess some people find cruelty to be hilarious. I don’t.
Well, I laughed. Not like gut-busting laughter, but it was so over the top ridiculous, especially when they drive away shooting out the window, I laughed. I guess I’m entertained by obviously absurd situations. The idea that these cops are like cartoon supervillain assholes for no good reason is funny to me.
ETA: Watching this film took on a surreal quality because the audio was juxtaposed with audio of a female reporter talking about turtles getting caught in railroad tracks.
I’ve watched it twice and I don’t even understand it Is it an add for Starbucks?
I don’t get it. And what’s with what sounds like NPR’s Science Friday playing in the background?
I thought it was funny…even the turtles.
I assume it’s meant to be like a podcast that the guy is listening to while he drives.
