Which are the saltiest pretzels?

I’m not a big fan of a pretzel, unless it’s suuuper salty. I’m actually eating some lackluster pretzels right now, and wishing I knew of a go-to, salt-tastic variety. Sticks, minis, twists (but maybe not the hard Bavarian type)—any good brands out there?

The saltiest pretzels I’ve ever bought are Grippo’s Pretzel Loops.

I like salty pretzels. But those were even too salty for me. :astonished:

This reviewer seems to agree with me. As do many of the reviewers on Amazon.

It’s regional, though. Not sure how available they are outside of Ohio.

Probably not what you’re looking for but I just bought some frozen Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Bites.
If you went that route, you could use as much salt as you want.

Lick your pretzels, dip 'em in salt. Then eat them. Problem solved.

Or dip 'em in vegemite if you prefer.

I’ll be the judge of that! :sunglasses: I’m in Ohio, just ordered some. Will report back—thanks!

The ones who just discovered their spouses cheating on them, I assume.

Herr’s Ultra Thin are reliably salty if you live in the mid-Atlantic area.

I can’t not think of this anytime someone mentions eating pretzels

Came in here to say just this, though I buy them at the mall freshly made there. I prefer soft pretzels and these are my favorite. I always ask for extra salt on it.

Has anyone had Utz brand pretzels? They were on sale for only $1.49, so I bought a package. Haven’t tried them yet.

Unique Snacks brand Extra Salt Splits. I can get them in two different stores that are very near to me, and it appears that they are also available in other stores close to me. It may be necessary for you to order them online. I don’t know if they’re available all over the U.S. (and maybe in other countries too).

Grippo’s are salty! I like that they’re darker/crunchier and I love the teardrop shape. Will research Utz/Herr’s and the splits, too.

Thanks, all!

Utz Special Dark pretzels are the best pretzels on the planet. The other varieties are probably pretty good. I went grocery shopping today and got pretzels and a double sharp cheddar cheese log, so I’m very happy. :yum:

Old Dutch Butter Spindles

I am from Cincinnati and can confirm that the Grippo’s brand is most definitely the saltiest. I brought some back with me from my last visit. I have only been able to find them online or in stores in the Queen City Tristate area. Unfortunately.
