Another one that has not been mentioned:

Ruthless People. Great plot (based loosely on O. Henry’s The Ransom of Red Chief), great performances and some of the funniest scenes I’ve come across.

Also, Soapdish. Kevin Kline steals the show, but good performances and laughs all around.

Did anyone mention Top Secret! ? If you liked Airplane! and Kentucky Fried Movie and Naked Gun, give this one a try.

Soapdish is one of the greatest underappreciated comedies of all time, I believe. Nobody I know has seen it.
