My thought on this came from seeing this cartoon one day.
Man, I can totally relate to that.
Anyone else out there have a cartoon or comics character about whom you find yourself saying,“Yes! That’s how I feel”?

Riff, of Sluggy freelance fame.
Foghorn Leghorn, natch.
I really relate to Waldo in the “Where’s Waldo” books. In the first pages, he’s just chillin’ and being himself and he really stands out from the others. Then slowly as the comic progesses, everyone starts coppin’ his style and as he’s hopelessly locked into his belief system, he melds into the mass of unoriginal losers.
Or perhaps I’m reading too much into this.
Wile E. Coyote, without a doubt.
Well, that’s easy.
Daria- from “Daria”- as she is an iconoclastic, intelligent type, and holds a lot of nonconformist beliefs. Kind of like me. And she also loves to write/read, and there’s the glasses thing. Of course, unlike her, I use smilies without abandon.
Lisa- “The Simpsons”- also smart and willing to stand up for what she feels is right. Plus she’s a really sweetie. Gotta love those pearls.
And…
Margo- “The Critic”- I’m not really sure why. She’s my age (16), but I don’t have an adopted older brother who’s a critic, or a pair of blueblooded parents. But she is voiced by Nancy Cartwright (Bart on “Simpsons”) and she loves horses- I love dogs- plus, she too stood up for what she believed in in the debutante episode. And she seems to have something of a thing for rock stars…heh.
Calvin and Hoobes all the way baby
Calvin is full of energy, curiosty and almost completely lacking a respect for authority. He’s also extremely creative and resourcefull [that cardboard box must have been a dozen different machines]. Hobbes is more relaxed and has a laid back approach to life.
I’m an even blend of them both, with one side showing over the other, occasionally.
I second Zoggie—I WAS Daria in high school. Friends actually call and ask me if “Daria” is based on me.
I grew up, however, to be Brenda Starr.
[Oh, and Spoke-, my first childhood crush was on Foghorn Leghorn . . . ]
I’m torn between Charlie Brown (see, there’s this red-haired girl I know…sigh) and Wile E. Coyote (he tries awfully hard, but things never go his way).
Eve, I say, Eve (or should I call you Miss Prissy?), I would be most delighted to pay a social call at your coop, my deah…
(Nice gal, but she’s about as subtle as a hand grenade in a barrel of oatmeal! Oatmeal, I say!)
The Maxx.
Like you couldn’t have guessed that…
I’m a lot like Daria as well. I also feel that I am a little bit like Donald Duck–you know, the whole “anger management” problem.
Pinky- another misunderstood genius…
Tinkerbell.
We have the same body type…petite with a big ass.
She had an attitude as well. When that insipid Wendy came along, Tink immediately went into diva mode.
Superman. He’s also from another planet, and also has magnificent, mysterious powers. And mighty pecs.
I think the biggest similarity, though, is the changing-clothes-in-a-phone-booth thing. I’m always doing that.
Charlie Brown, I’m afraid to say. Good things just can’t happen to me. Just when i think I will kick that football, God must yank it away from me. Worse thing is, God’s not doing it to spite me! Your name just came up, He always says.
Though when I’m talking to my peers, I feel like Huey from The Boondocks.
Wile E. Coyote (geniius erraticus)
No matter what happens, the coyote never gives up. He will not stop his quest, always convinced beyond doubt that his next hare-brained scheme is THE ONE that will finally get him his quarry, that obnoxious Road-Runner.
He is absolutely convinced of his own genius.
Archie Andrews - so many women, so little action. I mean, not a day goes by that I don’t play a concert with my band, turn into a slightly inept super-hero or super-spy and lead the highschool sports team to the city finals… And then repeat it all the next day.
Daria. That would be me. Well, not exactly. My friend Rebecca and I put together are Daria and Jane. Our personalities blend together to make both characters. Individually, it just isn’t the same.
I also relate to this comic strip. That is my reality, sad as it is.
jessica
You and me Max. I am like that big ole purple monster except I’m not big, purple or a monster. Other than that, we are exactlly alike.
