And I want to see Slapstick dump a bucket of water on his head for it. (per Slapstick #4)
Wow! I hadn’t heard about this. V For Vendetta was one of the first limited series I read when I was first collecting comics, and is still one of the best. I just didn’t realize it was popular enough to make a movie out of it. I’ll definitely be in line to see this one.
[sub]Now I’m off to dig my copies out of the box to read them again…[/sub]
Popular, nothing. In Hollywood, it’s all about what would make a better story. :dubious:
Re:Slapstick;
Ghosty: I am the Spirt of Vengance! I am–
Slapsick: Oh my gOD, YOUR HEAD IS ON FIRE!
I always thought Gaiman’s Death…The High cost of Living. Would make a good movie too.
I picture Wednesday playing the part of death.
You mean Christina Ricci? I always imagined Rachael Leigh Cook for Gaiman and Bachalo’s super-cute Death, myself.
Death: The High Cost of Living? Funny you should mention that…
I’m guessing Wednesday won’t play the lead huh…
I will watch for it.
Myself, I’m surprised we haven’t seen a Captain America movie yet. He’s certainly more well-known than Daredevil, the Punisher, or Hellboy, and with all of the flag-waving lately, it should go over well.
I hate to do this to you, but… http://www.imdb.com/find?q=captain%20america;tt=on;nm=on;mx=20
The 1991 movie is just sad.
With the public yes…with Hollywood, no.
I mean in the recent string of other (largely good) Marvel movies. But I hadn’t realized there was one as recent as '91. Probably for the best that I hadn’t.
And it was my impression that anything that sells a lot of tickets goes over well with Hollywood.
