Who still needs to be a superhero/villain?

Too many superhero movies to count coming out in the next several years. So which characters still need movies, and which actors should play them?

I, for one, am really excited about a stand alone female superhero. Was it Wonder Woman or Captain Marvel that’s coming out first? I hope it will focus on them and not, as I suspect, be a thinly veiled attempt at an ensemble pic with the female role headlining it. That’s what I’m most afraid of with WW, I fear DC might try to sneak in Superman in as a second lead because they don’t have any confidence in WW alone. I guess it’ll all depend on how JLA does in the theaters and how Gal Gadot is received

While Venom got his bit as a villain already, I would really like to see Venom as the star of his own movie in the anti-hero way that he often played in his own comic series. Bonus points if we get Carnage as the villain. Might even be fun to work Toxin in.

I would think a Disney/Pixar Power Pack film would be money in the bank.

This times a million.

And REAL Venom! Sterioid huge, speaks in plural, fights other symbiotes Venom.

Actor to play him? The Rock? He has the body type and the acting experience, but I can’t see him as Eddie. The only other actors I could think of playing Venom would be professional wrestlers (Again because of the body type) but I can’t think of any that would work in an actual well-made movie. So I’ll just stick with Rocky for now

An X-Factor Investigations movie could be fun.

I really think Cable (of X-Men fame) deserves a movie. Following the Marvel Studios’ concept of “every movie should have its own type of genre” design, he’d be perfect for a near-future type of super soldier movie that Schwarzeneggar did so well in. He’s supposed to be in the future X-Force movie, so here’s hoping. (And please get Stephen Lang to bulk up and play him).

Jim Carey as Plastic Man.

Steven Seagal as Sergio Aragones Groo the Wanderer.

He has the muscle and also the pouch to pull it. Plus extreme stubbornness and virtual invulnerability.

The High Evolutionary deserves a place in the sun. Ordinary human with extraordinary intelligence becomes a threat worthy of the combined Avengers and X-Men.

I’m thinking he could also play Marvel’s Impossible Man.

Since there’s nothing he couldn’t do on Dollhouse, Enver Gjokaj as The Unknown Soldier.

Last I saw, Wonder Woman June 23, 2017, Captain Marvel is 2018 (maybe July 6, although there’s a few unknown movie announcements?). And Venom: Carnage is at least more than a rumor, 2017 some time. He needs a reboot. I have nothing against Topher Grace, but didn’t like him as Venom much. Too cocky maybe? And it was confusing because he and MacGuire share the “dorky white guy with a rare T name” demographic.

I loved Deadpool even though I am lukewarm at best by Reynolds. I’ll remain cautiously optimistic, if they do the exact opposite of what they did before. I wonder how thought-bubble technology will change in the next few years?

More Sandman (Gaiman not Marvel) news. Maybe if Hell freezes over?

Adam Copeland (“Edge”) is proving a surprisingly decent actor in Haven.

Eddie Brock Lesnar

He looks the part, but he’s really not good at acting, at least based on his mic skills, so maybe they could dub The Dwayne over him for his voice.
I kinda wish we could get something with THE Flash. No not the Flash, Barry Allen, but THE Flash, Wally West. No infinity crisis new 52 stuff etc either. Awesome most of post-crisis era Wally. That’s THE Flash. Of course Jay Garrick should be involved as well, as he was in the comics. Save Impulse for the sequel though, then spin him off into his own stuff and bring in Max Mercury.

I’d love to see a version of the Spirit that matched the (ahem) spirit of the original. Though that would be better as a TV show.

One of these days, they can do a decent version of the Shadow, too.

Lobo was a fun comic to read in the past. Maybe Lobo vs. Marv, from Sin City, made like the movie The Raid, just 3 hours of ass whoopin. I know the movie isn’t 3 hours but this one should be.

A Spawn re-make would be awesome!

I leave casting to The Dope.

Already in the pipeline, and glad to see it:

Black Widow.
Wonder Woman.
Green Lantern.
X-Force (Stephen Lang as Cable; awesome choice)
Black Canary (looks like Arrow is headed that direction)

Needed:

Plastic Man
King Tut (John Goodman)
Dazzler
Death (Sandman comics)
Rick Jones
She-Hulk
