Or at least a “try-to-see”?
Mine, more or less in order:
- Star Trek: Nemesis
- Gangs of New York
- Catch me if you Can
- About Schmidt
- LOTR: The Two Towers
Or at least a “try-to-see”?
Mine, more or less in order:
The Two Towers!
Two Towers
Miscellaneous time-wasters
Two Towers is my only December “absolutely positively must see can’t live without”.
Star Trek Nemesis would be my next choice, for “will try to see”.
Two Towers.
It’s the only movie I am going to see for the rest of the year.
Hell, I may even go by myself. My wife wouldn’t mind seeing it with me but its impossible to find a baby-sitter a week before Xmas and I have to burn that free pass that came with the DVD.
So it may just be me, a day off from work, and a bucket of popcorn. I might even go right back in again after it ends.
DRUMLINE!
No seriously. I have NO IDEA WHY!
I’m somewhat intrigued by “Catch me if you can” but I haven’t seen a preview or anything. I read the book jacket and thought it was an interesting story. In fact, I almost bought the book until I realised that at $16 (semi-thin paperback) it was pound for pound 3x the cost of a decent steak. I decided to wait for it to turn up in a thrift store or the library.
The Two Towers is my must see.
Drumline also looks good.
Two Towers, and that’s it.
Gah, all you fantasy geeks.
Chicago.
I’ve already warned the guy I’m dating, who seems resigned to the whole thing. I’ve offered to go see something with explosions in return.
Two Towers
Drumline
Maybe Star Trek
Of the OP’s list, The Two Towers is the only one I know I’m going to see. I might see the Star Trek movie if someone else desperately needs someone to see it with, since I did watch the show. (none of the movies so far though, go figure). I have no interest in either De’Caprio movie, and I’ve heard next to nothing about About Schmidt. I also liked Drumline the last time, when it was called Bring it On, so I might see it on DVD eventually.
I checked IMDB and none of the other movies coming out sounds all that interesting <shrugs> Weird though that the last four movies I’ve seen are still in the current top ten there, but only since I’ve seen all of six movies in 2002.
Crappy-looking Star Trek movie? Nope.
TWO Leo Dicaprio movies? ::shudder:: Nonono.
Yeah, there realls isn’t anything sparking my interest but The Two Towers.
LOTR:TTT and Adaptation are must-sees.
I might watch Gangs of New York and Catch me if you Can. And maybe About Schmidt since I liked Election by the same director.
The Hot Chick
It’s got some of that same je ne sais quois that made Shallow Hal the living legend that it is.
Two Towers! Two Towers! Two Towers! I’ve got my ticket already!
I also confess to a wierd desire to see Drumline, mostly because I dated a drum major in high school and I really miss seeing marching bands on a regular basis.
I need to see the one where he posts a thread parodying democrats.
Ditto. It’s the only thing I plan on seeing the rest of the year.
TWO TOWERS! I am going with the school’s Film Club (I am prez) and we’re leaving on a field trip to see it the day it comes out! I am still wondering how we got that cleared…
Two Towers, Gangs of New York, Two Towers, Chicago, and Two Towers. plus Two Towers.
Drumline??? What’s with all the people wanting to see Drumline? It looks totally brainless. And The Onion’s AV Club agrees with me. Granted, they hate everything, but still.
