You are absolutely correct! Chuck, tell him what he’s won…
HINT: Not 1010011010. The numeric representation of the perpetrator’s name would be the same in binary, octal or decimal.
If the syllables of the perp’s name were divided slightly differently, the second syllable would become a different kind of digit.
The perp’s name has appeared in the title of an MPSIMS thread within the past two days.
You and I are eerily in sync in this thread. We must think alike.
Ah, Otto (0++0) , the police are closing in…
“Another bad one chief. He’s taunting us. It looks like the perpetrator used the same type of murder weapon in both the Amontillado AND Ignatz crime scenes.”
If that is right, then:
“We got a person here who narrowly escaped the killer. She keeps asking to speak to her “Uncle Tom”, and telling us to contact the Martian Embassy. Thing is, I think she really believes she has an uncle by the name of Tom.”
Nobody has guessed this one yet:
Here’s a follow-up clue: Heartbreak ensued when the piece of jewelry failed to perform as expected.
I suppose that would work, but I’ve never heard of this person. The one I’m thinking of is a much higher profile poster.
Is there an arrest warramt for ** Podkayne**?
I’m going to work on a clue now, I need to think of something good. Well, better than the last one.
Correct, Cub Mistress. I am eagerly awaiting your comma–
I mean, clue.
Ah, Mockingbird took flight after the crime…
And the authorities have put out an ABP for Bricker…
The victim lay gasping his last in the street out side the pub. The only clue was the brown bottle in his hand that had a label no one recognized.
For the love of God, Montressor! We have a winner!
Correct. It was “Aught-oh” aka “ah-toe”.
Some of the clues have been just brilliant. JThunder, the mockingbird clue was great!
Man, y’all are too smartified for lil’ ole me. I couldn’t even begin to get some of these.
(sleeping, it was Regallag_The_Axe)
We suspect that the perpetrator committed his crime while on the ceiling–hanging from a rope, possibly, or suspended from the rafters. It’s the only way to explain how the victim was found upside down.
Thank you. And Sternvogel deserves generous kudos for guessing it. Brilliant work!
Here’s the clue to yet another crime:
“Ralph and Reed were clearly the prime suspects, but this crime proved to be beyond even their reach.”
Homebrew?
That’s the very one. Splendid work!
