Which exercise equipment for shoulder exercises?

I hurt my shoulder doing something. Likely pushing too hard on the remote control.

Anyway, my doctor said I should do some of these exercises called
THROWER’S TEN EXERCISE PROGRAM.

He said I need to do some of the exercises on the first three pages, such as the External Rotation 0 Degrees Abduction. This exercise and some of the others look like the grip tube is connected to something which is attached to the something solid like a wall. Perhaps another piece of exercise equipment like a strength trainer (I’m guessing in this one).

Where I exercise in my basement there are some supports beams where I could easily wrap something around it to give me a solid anchor to do these exercises. I have purchases hand/arm exercises like that in the past and they dry-out or whatever, but they break.

I don’t know anything about exercise equipment, and this is simply for therapeutic use. If someone here is skilled in this area, please tell me what products you recommend for me to use to do these exercises properly. I link to the product online someplace would be very helpful. When I have looked online, I see the grips and other parts, but not sure what would be used to connect this to wrap around the support beam.

I have have an Inspire strength trainer, could something be connected to that for these exercises?

I’m only concerned about what equipment to do, I’m not looking for comments about the exercises or what others you think I should be doing. Thanks!

Resistance bands. Any sporting goods store should have them, if you want to inspect before buying. Otherwise, you can buy from Amazon or an online sporting goods store. Probably could even find them at Target or Walmart.

Thanks so much! I was then able to do a search and found this product, and can see from the photos it is being used with a beam:

I did many of those exercises in physical therapy. Resistance bands are the way to go. I have no idea what is the benefit of the product you linked vs. just putting the bands themselves around the pole.

I bought a set that include a block so you can use them against a closed door. How To Secure Your Resistance Bands Door Anchor - YouTube

The exercise I have to do, is using one hand and one handle.

Resistance bands are great, both for increasing flexibility and strength training. You can’t beat the price.

Yes, I agree. I went to a sporting goods store and the salesman first showed me something which was kind of a kit for $12.00. “Or you could get these, but you have to buy each parts and it is more expensive”. I got the parts, because it did what I needed and the big grand total came to only $24.00. Even if I used it every day I expect it would last for years.

Yeah, I have to do all those, (SLAP tear) I use a flex tube with handles I bought at a sporting goods store. 20 bucks or thereabouts. Along the tubing strip is a bit you can slip through a door/sill. Works for me.

Anyone had a flex band snap?

Happened to me in PT. It created a loud snap! Had everyone there looking. My therapist came running over. Are you ok?

Those stretch bands are amazing. I like them better than the stretch tubing.

They cost very little.
