At +12 McCain, it looks like it’s not happening this year. He probably could have managed it, but that would also have required doing a lot less in Missouri, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, which together are worth distinctly more, and are all leaning Obama to various degrees.
Good. His opponent looks like a decent sort - at least he comes from one of America’s finest families.
Fuck him anyway. And Larry Craig. AND Rick Santorum. Yeah. Especially Santorum.
Hey! That hair was the only thing left standing after Katrina.
Maxine Waters (HOR (D) CA) - corrupt and crazy (2 for 1 special)
Don’t forget the local asshat, Representative Steven King, Reactionary, Nativist, McCarthyite, representing the Sahara Desert slope of western Iowa. His Wikipedia entry is remarkable for its lack of spittle.
He will, however, be reelected. The Dutch Reform Church, fear of immigrant packing house workers, gratitude that Lincoln won the war and general insularity make the district so Republican that it might as well be on another planet. If there was ever a man who succeeded through wilful ignorance and sheer bloody mindedness he is Congressman King.
Mine, 'cos I can do something about that.
Granted, Roy Blunt (MO-7) isn’t as obviously snarly & malaprop-prone as the OP’s, but he was DeLay’s whip, so I want him gone as a lesson to others.
You’re entitled to your list, and I wouldn’t fault you for your picks, but I find it curious that you can’t find any Democrats worthy to lose. I can certainly find some - and some Republicans as well.
Fair enough. Let’s put Mahoney at #6 on my list. And even though he is not running this year, Rod Blagoejevich (D - Gov. of IL) is at the top of my list for 2010.
I can’t imagine what you have against Steve King. According to this link, he seems entirely in the mainstream.

For example:
Saw the thread title, came to say just that. My sentiments exactly.
According to my exhaustive research, Norm Coleman is the only person that Garrion Keillor actually hates. Says a lot.
Jeff Sessions, the junior senator from Alabama. What a piece of shit he is. Not that it matters, though, as I think he’s running unopposed. But the dude was quoted as saying the KKK isn’t so bad, but changed his position when he found out some of them smoked weed. He’s rabidly pro-business anti-environment and the strongest proponent of torture in the senate today. Fuck that dude.
“Borin’” Orrin Hatch. In office since 1977, he’s a Washington institution. He consistently toes the Republican party line and takes the most “conservative” (big business-friendly) stand on every issue while hiding behind the ‘family values’ smokescreen.
He wants to blow up your PC if you download music. And at the time his website was using pirated software.
He was 100% behind the Republican charge to impeach Bill Clinton in 1998, and jumped on the “Democrat=terrorist” meme
I hate his smug, concescending manner too.
Michele Bachmann, for her beliefs about Un-American America.
Jean Schmidt, for shamelessly sucking Marine Corps cack while trash-talking a distinguished veteran of that service.
Norm Coleman, for just generally being a dickbag.
I will add, Peter King, congressman from Seaford LI.
His support of bush’s war, claims that Iraq is 95% safe. That being in Baghdad is like being in Manhattan. The bastard will probably get re-elected anyways. LI is the only part of NY that is still McCain territory. Maybe a good thing we don’t become a state.
No one really likes Moran. But he’ll win until he’s knocked off in a primary.
I was going to quote Jon Stewart, but it’s been done.
But “sex offender”? Isn’t that a bit over the top?
Waters really isn’t very bright.
