Yes, a long hot bath, on a cold night is awesome. Especially, if you jump straight into bed with flannel sheets.
Nothing in this world can compare to climbing into a hot bath after being outside in -30.
It’s like all your cares…just…melt…away…
Last night, after a run outside.
Oh yes. Best feeling in the world. Never been out in thirty below myself, but I’ve been cold, and that hot bath or shower is THE BEST.
I say coming in from the cold; I’m in the **Philster **camp on this one. In fact, to address the Robot Arm faction, yes diving into a nice cool pool on a hot summer day is nice, but once I get out, I’m chilled and the only thing I want is a towel wrapped around me.
But I’ve gone on record as stating that I hate the cold (I’d much rather be too hot than too cold) … so I’m biased.
Although I don’t like the heat there is something wonderful about coming in to a warm house from the cold. I love to sit in front of a fireplace on a cold winters night with my dog at my feet. Now that is heaven!
I don’t actually mind the cold, but warming up my feet before going to bed in winter is just pure pleasure (I use my little space heater for this).
Coming in from the cold. Coming in from the heat, I’m all sweaty and gross and stay gross until I take a shower. Plus, it’s gonna be a comfortable-to-the-non-sweaty-people temperature inside, so I’m likely to over-cool before all my sweat has evaporated so now I’m sweaty, gross, and cold. If I was comfortable in the heat, I’m going to be freezing when I go into the 70 degree building.
Coming in from the cold, I warm up slowly enough that I don’t overheat unless I was feelin’ pretty comfortable when I was in the cold. Even still, my skin is likely to be cold from the outdoors so it still feels nice to come inside.
Though I hate the cold, I’m going to have to go with coming in from the heat. See, when it’s hot out and I go in where it’s cool, that actually feels nice. But when it’s cold and I go inside where…well, it’s warmer, but unless the heat is cranked up to something insane like 80F I actually don’t feel much better - once I get a chill it’s really hard to shake it.
This may be weird because I love the heat and hate the cold, but I prefer coming out of the heat. Coming from heat outdoors into a cold building is instantly refreshing. I also love swimming on a hot day.
On the other hand, when I come in from the cold into a warm building, I often get earaches and/or headaches. Since I hate earaches and headaches, coming out of the heat is automatically better.
Coming in from the heat for that blast of chill air. But by far the best is coming in from the humid.
Coming in from the heat; I find that it’s a much more instant, complete level of satisfaction. Warming up takes some time, so it’s just not as powerful a feeling.
Going from a hot day into blasting AC is great.
Watching women come from a hot day into blasting AC is even better.
:^{P>
For me coming in from the heat is much better. I don’t like being very, very cold but I get physically ill if i’m too hot.
I enjoy coming in from the warm into the warm. But that’s just me.
That’s a great sensation, but as a Wisconsinite, I prefer the feeling of coming into a nice, warm house… and bundling under some covers…
