My vote was for Wolverine, who according to AW will be played by Hugh Jackman in the X-Men movie. I checked out this guys website(sorry I don’t know how to post it in blue) and he looks like a pretty-boy-ninny. I’m so disappointed.
Personally, I always thought the FF to be ultra-square-trapped-in-the-fifties bores. I think if you put spandex costumes on the cast of ‘Friends’ you’d have a reasonably facsimile of a FF movie - that sounds real exciting!
Dr. Doom, on the other hand, flat out rules.
Hell is Other People.

In the blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil’s might

But if we’re sticking to Marvel. . .
THOR
(of course)
Heh…I haven’t read any of the X-Titles (or any comics) for years. When I stopped, however, there were TWO Psylocks…one British and one Asian. Come to think of it, maybe I should be glad that I stopped.
Hey, maybe they could make a film adaptation of Secret Wars? The Beyonder rocks!

Mjollnir, you think you’re thore? I’ve never been tho thore in my life . . .
Er, sorry all.

Although one of the lesser known Marvel comics and not on the OP list, I’d have to vote for Rom the spaceknight. It has drama, self-conflict, interplaentary travel, and a really cool gun that allows you to see Dire Wraiths disguised as humans right before he fries 'em.
On a hijack note: I haven’t seen Marvel comics in a while. I recently saw some on the newsstand- Cap’n America and Fantastic 4- both were numbered 24. When I left off, both were in the 300 range. Did they start renumbering, or end and restart the series?
I had read, a couple of years ago, that there was a Green Lantern movie in the works. If this is strictly Marvel, I’d like to see an Iron Man movie.
Marvel sux, buuuttt…
Iron Man or War Machine. If done f/x heavy, with plenty of plot developement on the creation of the battlesuits; then it could be O.K.
Is an appreciation of beauty a function of the human soul?
I like Green Arrow, because he always lets me turn left and protects me from the oncoming traffic. That would make a good movie.
Hell is Other People.
Wait a minute! The Green Arrow isn’t a Marvel character! You’d have to go with Hawkeye, or … er, wait, you were only makin’ a funny.

Wouldn’t work. Charles Xavier’s bald. But you knew that already.
BTW, my money’s on Wolverine. I was glad the animated X-Men series gave him a voice like Clint Eastwood. I can just imagine:
“I know what you’re thinking. Did he extend six claws or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I’ve kinda lost track myself. But being as this is adamantium, the most powerful metal in the world, and would slice your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?”
Quick-N-Dirty Aviation: Trading altitude for airspeed since 1992.
If you’re wanting a character driven movie, forget Marvel. However, if you want special effects, Marvel is a great way to go. Unfortunately, none of the studios have understood that yet.
My picks:
Iron Man or Ghost Rider
As far as Spiderman goes, you can have a big special effects movie if you pair him off with the right villain. “Venom” is one that comes to mind right off. In fact, it might make for a better film to see the hero apparently outmatched and still come out on top.
Mr. K’s Link of the Month:
I was always fond of Vera Valiant.
Damn, Mjollnir, thought I was the only one who remembered Green Lantern. Thanks for quoting his oath of allegiance. That’s been absent from my memory for years.
To the original post, however, wasn’t GL published by DC? For a Marvel movie you can’t do better than Dr. Strange (starring John Malcovich?). Spooky, literally multi-dimensional, druggy, it’d make a super film.
Dr. Strange has been done, but what the hell. I wouldn’t mind an update. I’ll vote for Alan Rickman in the lead.
Mojo:
I dont read those titles, but to confuse you more I will offer a half-ass explanation. There was this Marvel universe storyline called “Onslaught” that pretty much included everyone. (kind of like Secret wars) Please bear with me, I had one guy explain it to me once and even he was not sure. All I can remember is that these huge sentinels were targeting superheroes. Somehow Franklin Richards fits into this as his powers sent the heroes “somewhere else” or they just disappeared, heck I’m not sure. Anyway, the heroes return of course, starting their respective titles off at #1. Basically it was just a big marketing ploy by Marvel to boost sales - #1 issues sell more than #400 issues. I believe they are/were cancelling some titles and restarting most/all of them.
All I do know for sure is that they did restart Spiderman, they stopped all his titles and started over with 2 books and are adding a third, his storyline did not involve the Onslaught saga. I do have the limited series Heroes Reborn: The Return which I presume is the finale and the heroes, of course, return. Alas, I have not read it yet!

I hope you’re not talking about that awful made-for-TV movie done in the 1970s by the same people who did those even awfuller Captain America made-for-TV movies and that thoroughly vile Spiderman live-action TV series with Nicholas Hammond in it.
I’d like to see an Invaders (Cap. America, Human Torch, Sub Mariner, Bucky and Toro) movie set during WWII.
DC?
The Metal Men! Ashley Judd as Platinum.
Elmer J. Fudd,
Millionaire.
I own a mansion and a yacht.
And Johnny Depp as Mercury.

I vote for Aunt May. She’s been close to Death more times than the rest of the Marvel Universe combined.
The Coyote gnaws …
but he does not swallow.
