I just remembered the Fox “network” pilot for “Generation X”. I wonder which demographic they were shooting for.
Jubilee, Skin, Monet St. Croix, Mondo (got to be the first Samoan superhero), Banshee and the White Queen. Even had Matt “Max Headroom” Fruer himself as the main baddie.
It sucked. But most of their mutant powers are really lame and not conducive to neato special effects.

Spiderman is probably the superhero they have made the most computer games about, so he certainly does have appeal.
The Spiderman comics were certainly wonderful. No other superhero keeps up such an amusing running commentary while he is turning 185 somersaults and dodging bullets. The added advantage of a spider man movie is, of course, Mary Jane Parker-Watson. Don’t forget the inexplicable spider-sense.

I’m so sick of “the good guys always win and are simplistic morons” movies. Likewise, the Sub-mariner would make a great film, because Namor is a psycho.
Longshot had a great mini series that would make an awesome and surreal movie.
The Silver Surfer is definitely a candidate.
But how about the lesser known characters?
Black Bolt? The guy whose voice can level cities? He won’t speak for the whole movie, so he can team up with Spiderman quite easily.
Gargoyle. He was really cool.
The Vision and the Scarlet Witch. There’s a team.

wolverine and psylocke are my personal faves. they get my votes. oh and apocolypse, he scares the poopy out of me in comics and as a cartoon character, he would be a great movie villian.

Was anyone else disappointed when they found out Glenn Danzig wasn’t going to play Wolverine? Hmm…short, buff, psycho…seems like a perfect fit.
I think a Green Lantern movie would be cool if they focussed on the period after he went nuts and started killing all the other Green Lanterns, almost destroying the Green Lantern corps.
