Which nation is the most unfaithful?

Heard on the radio this morning on the way to work: an international survey (that I’ve just spent 20 minutes netsearching for without success) has found that BRITAIN is the most unfaithful nation. Something like 30% of people admitted to stealing their current partner from an existing relationship.

One “expert” claimed not to be surprised, because we in the UK “don’t talk about our feelings enough”. [sub]mumble mumble not true mumble[/sub]

We’re even worse than the French and the Italians!

Go figure.

Well kabbes, IMHO there’s survey’s and there’s surveys – I don’t come across too many that aren’t conceived as a means of self-promotion for the body reporting its findings. I take it all with a rather large pinch of powder.

Having said that, even if this were true isn’t it more of an indication of honesty amongst those polled ?

Have to give kudos to the PR company for releasing this drivel to the media on a quiet Monday and as the sub editors are looking for something different to report on beside the election fall out.

30%? That’s it?

In Korea, though I have no hard data, I’d guess the figure is closer to 40 or 50%, maybe more!

A large portion of the barber shops here offer blowjobs as an extra service (and NOT because it is so RARELY requested), and a large part of Korean male culture revolves around going to “Room Salons” (here is a Google search on “Roomsalon” you’ll find ads for these… most of the text will be gibberish unless you have Korean text support, but if you click around on the links, you’ll get the idea). Room salons are basically private bars where you spend HUGE amounts (think $200 for a bottle of Jack Daniels) to drink with pretty girls, whom you are more or less free to grope mildly… then later, if she’s amenable (and when are hookers NOT amenable?) you take one off to a hotel, or sometimes off to a room there is the same establishment, and have a good ol’ time for an extra charge (how much? I have no idea (really!) but I bet it ain’t cheap!). Also there are several areas in Seoul where there is blatant prostitution, and we’re NOT talking street-walkers here! We’re talking blocks-long areas of storefronts with 10-15 prostitutes sitting in picture windows (the one I first saw had all of the girls dressed in wedding gowns! 5 alleys full of shopfronts with beautiful young Asian girls dressed in wedding gowns! How creepy is that?). Then there are the “yog-wans” (or small hotels) of which there are several in any given “dong” (or neighborhood)… most of which you can go into and say “gimme a room and a girl!” And, of course the “Tea-girls” (which I haven’t seen in Seoul… no need for them here!)… go to any small city in S. Korea and you’ll notice young, sexily-dressed and made-up, girls zooming around on scooters… they ain’t just delivering tea!

Man! With all this going on, I don’t know WHAT the stats are for cheating here, but they MUST be higher than 30%!

And the things I hear about Japan (which my friends who have lived there swear are true)!

L_C true (and the fact that I can’t find a reference to it is even more suspicious) and the reason I dumped this in MPSIMS instead of trying to concoct a GD out of it.

Still, makes you think huh? Or maybe not.

Astroboy - that’s 30ish percent of people are with partner they stole off someone else, not 30% admitting to being unfaithful. That figure was more like 60% IIRC.

[sup]Oh… sorry…[/sup]

[sub]s’okay

why are we whispering?[/sub]

[sup]'cause I’m an idiot who didn’t read your OP carefully, that’s why! Shhh… no one has to know![/sup

Quiet…

I think I can hear whispering coming from the cupboard.

That wedding dress scene is totally freaking me out Astroboy!

Yeah… no kidding.

You know, it’s always been my opinion that there should be some kind of law against infidelity. Maybe I’m a fool for thinking that, but how hard is it to remain faithful to someone? Especially someone that you love.

Apparently in our over-sexed, instant gratification desiring society, it’s d*mn near impossible.

Sorry… touchy subject for me.

/me gets down off the soap-box.

All I can say is that when I was dating Argentina, that bitch was screwing Lichtenstein.
