Which Nov 4, 2025 elections are you watching?

Not seeing much movement WRT the federal shutdown. In another thread, someone mentioned the upcoming elections as potentially encouraging some movement, by suggesting voter sympathies. Do you expect that to be the case? If so, any particular races you are watching?

Main one I’m watching is Prop-50 in California.

Based on how much negative crap has invented by MAGA about London since it elected a Muslim mayor, New York could be about to get a ton of attention.

California Prop 50.

Me too although I hate hate hate that it has come to this.

VA AG, which seems to be the only competitive statewide race in VA.

We take back Virginia - “Five by five” as Faith always said.

The five being the house, senate, governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general

Recommended website for viewing results?
PBS has a page for each, I’d like a summary, and text/ graphics not video. Ad free would be great.

Thanks

To be clear pbs has what I want except all on one page

I’m glancing at it.

I can’t sit thru the talking heads on CNN. So…muted.

I’m watching the margins in VA and NJ governors races. Just to see how much of the bloom might have come off the MAGA movement. Results with independents in particular, but young people would be useful info too.

Decision Desk called the VA governor’s race for Spanberger (D).

I voted YES at 2:30 pm. Easiest ballot ever! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::grin:

I am watching the PA judges retention vote for Supreme Court.
No results are in yet.

MSNBC.

I’m a Rachel Maddow fan. She’s there with some colleagues. Smart analysis. Unapologetically pro-Democrat. Just sos you know.

Post was from a couple of days ago, and so far spot on. Why is this one so close, as opposed to the Governor?

The Democratic VA AG candidate had a last minute “scandal” of some text messages with jokes about murder. Something like “that guy deserves a bullet” about a political opponent, texting to one of his allies.

It’s close because Democratic candidate Jay Jones made an ill-advised comment about wanting to shoot his political opponent and his children, and that’s only okay when a Republican says it.

All I know about this comment is what I’ve read in the last two posts, but it sounds very “ill advised.” Who does that?

Yeah, he was ahead by 200K votes, 51%-47%.

I’m not ‘watching’ any races. But I did see that Mikie Sherrill has won the governor’s race in New Jersey, and Abigail Spanberger will now be Virginia’s first female governor.
