Boardwalk Empire, I was thinking that its around 1925, I think the Gangsters hit their new peak around 1929 right (St Valentines Day Massacre) and prohibition ending in 1933, I thought there would have been a few more years to it.
Fourth season was a bit weak though, third season was storming though…

Of first-run shows, I only make the effort to record The Venture Bros., TBBT, Archer, and Animation Domination on Fox (although, I think my DVR made a unilateral decision to drop my season pass to The Simpsons).
I’ve only seen Newsroom, and enjoy it enough (especially Jeff Daniels’ acting) that I wouldn’t mind if it continued for a while longer. So I voted for that.
None - most I’ve never watched, a few I’ve never heard of. It’s not that I’m too hip for television, I’ve just barely watched a show that didn’t involve Daniel Tiger or Curious George for the last year. I would say Jimmy Fallon, but he’s not really going away and Seth Myers is getting a show out of the deal, so that’s all good.
I watched Justified’s first season but it didn’t grab me enough to keep watching. I gave up on The Newsroom after three episodes or so due to its unrelenting preachiness and annoying characters (and I’d been a big West Wing fan). I watched five or so Wilfred episodes and gave up when I grew frustrated with what a doormat the protagonist was, and when the show just didn’t deliver the laughs.
All the rest I either never watch, or have seen now and then and just don’t give a damn. Someday I might see Boardwalk Empire on DVD; I’ve heard mostly good things about it.
I used to watch Rob Dyrdrek’s Fantasy Factory, it was pretty funny but since i haven’t bothered to watch in a couple years it wouldn’t be true to say i will miss it.
Like several of the others, I like Boardwalk Empire, but it’s not “must watch.” I think it suffers a bit from being in the same TV generation as Breaking Bad (I had a tough time enjoying anything the last half of 2013. The return of Archer last week, and Sherlock this week, have given my DVR something to look forward to…
I’ve never watched Justified, but I’ve heard enough good things about it that I’ll get around to it one of these days.
Someone should have smothered HIMYM with a pillow five years ago.
As we are approaching the 100th vote for “Not a blessed one of them!” maybe a little update on the sorted responses is in order.

I interpret this to be saying that a lot of people (maybe 43% of those who are attracted by the thread title) just can’t be persuaded that these shows matter all that much. But they said so and didn’t just pass by on the other side.
The groupings in the above list have changed very little since the start, so I treat this as a good measure of how TV executives and those making decisions about lifespans of shows must be dealing with numbers from the general public.
I’d love to hear your interpretation, and I thank all who have chosen to do so for voting!
FWIW, Glee isn’t ending after the current (fifth) season. The show was renewed through season six, which is supposed to be the last one.
Had it ended after the first or second season I would have thought it was a shame, but at this point I think this was a show that had at most three seasons in it and should have ended with the graduation of the main cast and some sort of Animal House style explanation of where they all went from there.
Most of the other shows on the list I have never seen (I don’t have cable). I still watch and enjoy How I Met Your Mother, but feel it’s dragged on a little too long already.
I’ll miss Justified when it goes off the air, but I’d much rather it go out “on a high note,” loved by critics and its audience, than be one of those, “That’s still on?” kind of shows.
Glee I’ve already stopped watching after the third episode this season. If not for the actor dying, I would’ve probably stopped at the end of last season, but I wanted to see how they handled his death.
I’ll miss True Blood, but mainly for the nudity. Where else you gonna git nekkid Anna Paquin?
HIMYM is a good show, but been on plenty long enough. Also didn’t really like what I’ve seen of this season, all focused on that wedding.
Warehouse 13 I guess I’ll miss most, fun show, good characters. Shame it got canned to clear up funds for the decidedly mediocre Defiance.

Surprisingly How I Met Your Mother was really funny last night. Probably the first really excellent episode this season. But it is clearly a show that has run its course.
I haven’t been able to catch the precise moments that coincide with the latest 280 total, but for reference as to how things are changing over time here are some checkpoints roughly 100 votes apart:

Incidentally, I’m quite surprised (and pleased) with the response to this poll. There are a few other polls I’ve been aware of with more voters. But not many!
