Caveat: I like a lot more than I voted for, obviously.
Beauty and the Beast - one of my 10 favorite movies ever, easily #1 on this list.
Big Hero 6 - Because Baymax (sp) was a thing in our family.
Cinderella - Same thing. My daughter was a lovely Cinderella.
Home on the Range - YES, I WAS THE ONE WHO VOTED FOR THIS!
The first movie we took Sophia to. She was 2, I believe. We got to the theater for the 11:15am ‘moms and toddlers’ showing, bought popcorn, put Sophia down between us, put the popcorn in her lap… it truly was one of the formative experiences of her young life because she got it. Riveted, wide-eyed in joy, completely quiet for 95 minutes (or whatever), at one time she was passing the popcorn around like a seasoned film-goer. The film itself is possibly the nadir of this list, but the experience of it, for my wife and I… the experience can never be topped. And for Sophia, she now does tons of film editing and has a standing job offer at advertising agency and trailer studio Ignition Creative for when she graduates college (she’s a sophomore in high school)… and it all leads back to HotR.
Lady and the Tramp - Because it has a Scottish Terrier. Any movie with a dog breed I have owned automatically makes “Best of” lists. Just ask Fred, the basset hound from Smokey and the Bandit.
The Little Mermaid - Because Menken/Ashman were awesome. (See #1)
Pocahontas - Because of Alan Menken. This soundtrack might be superior to BatB. (I think BatB had better songs, however).
