Which of these Disney animated theatrical releases are you particularly fond of?

You may select as many that apply.

Ooo I’m first? Neat!

Only have 11 of them because, I’m honestly not THAT much of a Disney guy, especially older Disney.

ETA: Also, no Aladdin? Really? Count me up for that vote too

I picked the three my kids watched the most, Lion King, Fox and the Hound, and Little Mermaid.

Seriously, how did you miss the best Disney movie?

Sorry about that. Aladdin was on my original list, but it got jacked up a bit in the posting around the As. I thought I fixed it properly.
mmm

Fantasia I liked a lot as a kid. I’m not sure I’ve even watched the others, I was never really into Disney. I was more a Looney Toons kid.

You forgot Fantasia 2000.

Where’s Up? The Incredibles? My top vote choices.

Those are Pixar, which I did not want included in the poll.
mmm

You’re right.
mmm

I’m not sure how meaningful my choices are, since they’re heavily influenced by which ones I have and haven’t seen, and further influenced by my age at which I saw them. But I voted anyway.

And I agree that Aladdin would totally have been on my list.

Wreck-it Ralph is the only one on that list i both remember seeing, and really liked. Though I did click the black cauldron because I liked the books, and I’m sure i saw the movie, but I don’t really remember it.

Also, I would have clicked Aladdin if it was there.

I’ve seen at least 35 of those (and possibly more, some I can’t remember clearly if I have or not.) I like at least half that total, but “particularly fond” is an exclusive category, so I picked only The Little Mermaid, Bolt, and Tangled.

I voted for Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Hunchback, Mulan, and the Lion King (and would’ve added Aladdin if it was there). There are certainly other ones that are good but those are my favs.

I notice all my choices had Phil Harris in a key role.

Hmmmm.

I don’t like too many of the early ones. I like almost everything from the renaissance on*, Little Mermaid to now, aside from the dip of Brother Bear to Chicken Little and am no fan of Hercules either.

*I actually also like Rescuers Down Under, which was slightly earlier

I am very surprised that **Bambi **has just 2 votes and **Pocahontas **has zero.

But I am pleased that two of my favorites - Jungle Book and Robin Hood - are doing well.
mmm

ETA: And for the record, I would not have voted for Aladdin (too much Robin Williams for me), but I wish I hadn’t messed up its inclusion.

Just voted for two: Moana and Lilo and Stitch. Neither one turned a fairy tale or classic lit into baby food, neither one relied on a prince charming saving a helpless waif, both were hilarious, and the setting was pure eye candy. Lilo and Stitch is far and away my favorite.

I like a lot more of them than I marked, but you asked which I was particularly fond of. And I agree that the (unfairly) put down Fantasia 2000 ought to be on it, along with The Incredibles.

I had to include Sleeping Beauty, the first Disney movie I saw, and The Jungle Book, the last to get Walt’s approval, as well as Tarzan, because it was the first movie that MilliCal saw (and loved). I don’t include Pinocchio or Dumbo, even though they’re classic Disney, because I don’t honestly love them. Fantasia is probably my overall favorite.

There are many that I enjoy but I voted for my most favorite hands down - Bambi. Just hearing the dialogue will bring tears to my eyes - and not just because Bambi’s mother is killed. The voices of Flower and Thumper and their conversations are so sweet.

My mom had a set of 78RPM records that was the Disney story of Bambi narrated by Shirley Temple. I think the voices and soundtrack were from the movie. I remember listening to that all the time when I was a kid.
