  3. Dumbo

  4. The Little Mermaid

  5. Beauty and the Beast

  6. Pinocchio

  7. Aladdin

  8. The Lion King

  1. The Emperor’s New Groove

I love Cinderella, and it’s a classic. But in 5th grade(or somewhere around there) I practically had every line memorized of the Emperor’s New Groove.

  1. Lilo and Stitch
Stitch and I have a thing goin’, we’re both overly hyper psychotic things.

  2. Dumbo
This one was insanely tough, but I had to go with a Disney Original (at least I think it is).

  3. The Little Mermaid

  4. Beauty and the Beast

  5. Pinocchio
    Flipped a coin, couldn’t decide.

  6. Aladdin

  7. The Lion King

  1. Cinderella

  2. 101 Dalmatians

  3. Sleeping Beauty (Sorry, Dumbo, but the freaky dream sequence with the pink elephants freaks me out.)

  4. The Jungle Book

  5. Robin Hood

  6. Fantasia

  7. Peter Pan

  8. The Lion King (Toughest match-up so far IMO, but had to go with Lion King because I love the soundtrack.)

  1. The Emperor’s New Groove

  2. Lilo and Stitch

  3. Dumbo

  4. The Little Mermaid

  5. Beauty and the Beast

  6. Fantasia

  7. Aladdin

  8. The Lion King

(Age: 19)

Pretty easy round to judge, really. No tight competitions in my book, with only Lion King up against Snow White being even close.

[del]1. Cinderella[/del]
17. The Emperor’s New Groove
Weak, annoying protagonist up against the funniest and best pure comedy Disney has produced, which happens to be one of my personal favorites. No contest despite some good songs in Cinderella.

[del]25. 101 Dalmatians[/del]
9. Lilo and Stitch
Lilo and Stitch is just plain fun to watch repeatedly, while Dalmatians is only pretty good and gets old quickly.

4. Sleeping Beauty
[del]13. Dumbo[/del]
No contest. Sleeping Beauty is simply beautiful, amazing just to watch. It is my favorite classic.

5. The Little Mermaid
[del]21. The Jungle Book[/del]
What can I say? I have a redhead fetish. Plus the music is second to none.

2. Beauty and the Beast
[del]18. Robin Hood[/del]
As much as I like Robin Hood and watch it often, Beauty and the Beast is a pinnacle achievement. I watch it just as much. If you have the DVD with the “Work in Progress” version, watch it. Glenn Keans is simply amazing. (and more great music)

26. Fantasia
[del]10. Pinocchio[/del]
Like I said, it’s pure art. Plus my favorite villain, Chernabog, is from Fantasia.

3. Aladdin
[del]19. Peter Pan[/del]
Rewatching Peter Pan on the recent DVD release, I decided I didn’t like it all that much. Put it up against Aladdin, it has no chance. When I heard people say Aladdin was better than Beauty, I couldn’t believe them, but when I saw it I was truly amazed. However, Beauty is still better in my book by a score of 99 to 98.

6. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
[del]11. The Lion King[/del]
Even with Rowan Atkinson, I never much liked Lion King. Snow White still holds up after all these years. It’s truly a great film.

  1. The Emperor’s New Groove

  2. Lilo and Stitch

  3. Sleeping Beauty

  4. The Little Mermaid

  5. Beauty and the Beast

  6. Pinocchio

  7. Aladdin

  8. The Lion King

As others have posted - these are starting to get to be difficult choices.

  1. Cinderella
    17. The Emperor’s New Groove
Tough choice. Cinderella has the “dress destruction scene” which is one of the most evil moments in any Disney film. But ultimately I have to give it to New Groove for the strength of it’s animation.

25. 101 Dalmatians
9. Lilo and Stitch
Another tough choice. Lilo is well-executed and has some great moments, but Dalmatians has a better villian and amazing character animation.

  1. Sleeping Beauty
    13. Dumbo
Chilly and gorgeous Beauty or floppy and sentimental Dumbo? My heart says “Dumbo!”

  2. The Little Mermaid
    21. The Jungle Book
No contest here. The Little Mermaid is over-rated. Good songs, but the animation is shit. Jungle Book has good songs and amazing animation. Shere Khan and King Louie are absolute masterworks.

2. Beauty and the Beast
18. Robin Hood
Robin Hood is shaky. Great characters can’t help the repetitive animation. Beauty is the best of the modern princess movies.

  1. Fantasia
    10. Pinocchio
Pinocchio is simply the best movie Disney ever made. Sorry Fantasia.

  2. Aladdin
    19. Peter Pan
Robin Williams is annoying. Tinkerbell is a hoot. Peter Pan all the way.

6. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
11. The Lion King
No contest. Snow White is a masterpiece. The Lion King has fart jokes.

  1. The Emperor’s New Groove

  2. 101 Dalmatians

Little Mermaid (Jungle Book is fun, but nowhere near as good.)

Aladdin (sigh. I love Peter Pan. I wanted to be Peter Pan when I was a toddler…but…)
