It did not interest me. I tried 3 times, and never made it more than 15 minutes in before my attention wandered and I gave up. In contrast, the first 15 minutes of Wall-E and Up pulled me in.
I always figured it was just a variant of Meredith … which is a name I’ve always loved.
Let’s not forget George Carlin As Fillmore, the VW bus!
*Cars * was one of my selections (though not 2 nor 3 as I have not seen them).
mmm
Cheech Marin, Tony Shalhoub, Tom and Ray Magliozzi, and Michael Schumacher; a lot of good folks lent their voices.
That is excellent. A great movie but probably 6th for me with Pixar. But to me Pixar has 6 movies I would give a 10 to.
The Good Dino was not good to me, it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t a good movie either. Not sure why it didn’t work for me but neither did Inside Out.
I think you nailed it, if you like Nascar, you probably like this movie, otherwise it is the worse things Pixar has done. It had zero appeal to me and I hated wasting my time watching it. Great cast wasted was my attitude.
After Incredibles, these are my 2nd & 3rd favorites. Then Toy Story & Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc. The top 3 are movies that drag me in if I see them on. They are among my favorite movies of all time. On a scale of 1-10 they go to 11. Ironically Spinal Tap does not.
Meh, it’s just a remake of Doc Hollywood.
I don’t want to watch them because I can’t get past the setting. Why are the cars the way they are? Why do they have eyes? Why do they have door handles? The set up just doesn’t make sense to me.
Yes. I have no problems with interdimentional monsters, talking toys (who never die! Trapped with all your awareness in a landfill. Forever!), balloons that can carry your house to South America, women that can stretch beyiond reason, but yes, anothropormorphic cars are my limit!
I’ve only seen a couple of them (Monsters, Inc. and Wall-E) but I liked them enough to vote for them.
Stop the presses. You’ve never seen Toy Story?
mmm
You can tell that from the trailer.
The tally so far.
Any surprises?*
62 The Incredibles
59 Toy Story
51 WALL-E
49 Up
46 Toy Story 2
40 Toy Story 3
42 Monsters, Inc.
41 Finding Nemo
32 Ratatouille
30 Inside Out
21 Aladdin
17 A Bug’s Live
13 Brave
11 Cars
10 Finding Dory
6 Monsters University
2 Cars 3
1 Cars 2
3 The Good Dinosaur
*(other than seeing Aladdin in a Pixar poll)
I’m surprised Toy Story didn’t make the cut!
P.S., my DIL loves Brave so much, I painted her this for her birthday.
Also, I was wrong. Toy Story is number 2. Don’t know why I didn’t see it. And I searched too.
Money. It shows them repeatedly having to raid their savings jar to deal with everyday expenses like replacing a blown-out tire. This was a zoo docent and a balloon stand attendant, respectively. Cash would have always been tight and they just never got there. Also the fact that despite their lack of travel, relative poverity and inability to conceive that they were still a happy couple probably reduced the pressure to obsessively follow childhood dreams quite a bit.
That is great! I love it and I bet she did too.
Why thank you! Only posted it because Brave is so low on the list while that rat in the food movie ranked so high. And I seriously absolutely adore Patton Oswald. But, again, GAH!!!
I thought Brave was pretty good, but maybe it didn’t resonate with me as much because my relationship with my Mom was less like that and more like Tangled.
The Incredibles is one of the best movies out there, I tend to love anything involving Brad Bird. There are so many great Pixar movies, how can you even pick?
Incredibles is by far the best.
I also voted for ratatouille. Fun fact, I help upgrade/install the render farm they used to make it.
Up, wall-e, bugs life and monsters inc were ok, but I didn’t vote for them.
Cars just creeped me the hell out.
I would have voted for all three toy stories nut fat fingered my phone and accidentally hit the vote now button somehow.
Oh, and I DID vote for Aladdin.
I just rewatched this scene a few days ago. It’s also implied that they were finally just about to go when the wife got (terminally) ill.
Nope.
Yeah, that nut fat can really get in the way.
