Which of Trump's political sins disqualifies him most?

I thought Epstein was a friend of the Clintons, not Trump.

Thing is that a lot of the emails that were claimed to be out there do come from other servers; indeed, cyber warfare was how they should had got the emails that others got **from **Clinton or related to her; like in the case of the DNC hack that was the one the Russians are being talked about nowadays.

Try to keep up. The excuse je jour is that Trump was just joking around. He’s such a funny man, he can even make jokes about Russians hacking into American computers. What a joker! How we laughed!

Stay tuned - tomorrow he may trot out another excuse.

The reason people are making a fuss about this is that it is possible some of the deleted mails were State Department emails, and that some could be classified. If Trump acknowledged they were only personal emails, then asking a foreign power to hack Hillary is bad enough. If there is a possibility there were classified mails, then it is indeed espionage.

Next joke - Take my NATO ally - please!

Thats nice that you believe that, doesn’t change the fact that he asked a hostile nation to hack into the emails of a senator, the secretary of state and a presidential candidate.

Also maybe his rape accusations are just because he slipped and landed on his dick.

There are now 2 things from the list that Trump is showing himself to be worst than Nixon. (it is very likely that he would be worse than Nixon in many others)

Nixon never completely banned a news organization from his campaign, and even if Nixon was being audited by the IRS he **did **release his tax returns.

Yeah; besides that I do not think that a guy that is worse than Nixon, in vindictiveness also, should be given the keys to the NSC.

I’ll have to say, limiting my choices to 10 was a feat of Herculean restraint (though some categories did overlap with others a bit).

That Jeffrey, he was EVERYONE’s friend!

So you’re saying Clinton may have lied and mishandled classified information? That some of the email she claimed were of a personal nature and refused to turn over for FOIA requests (and actually destroyed) may have contained government business? I’m shocked!

Agreed, and why I kept arguing he was worse that Cruz.

Especially since I’ve learned that there is no check on his power to launch nukes. Sure, there are other people in the chain that actually do the work, but they are required to assume the President is making a lawful order. There is no means by which to say “no” that doesn’t violate everything. It’s not merely a matter of Trump being able to fire them. But of court-martial and military punishment–including the type of imprisonment we’ve seen them use.

It is this that actually makes me worried about a Trump presidency. Anything worse is something he can’t really do.

Trump is a petulant child with a mental disorder that compels him to lash out at anyone who challenges his overinflated ego. He is not sane, and he should not have access to nuclear weapons.

If he wins, first order of business in Congress should be crafting a law to change this, before it’s too late.

Indeed I would be shocked as the FBI did not reach that conclusion.

Elsewhere it was reported by Comey also that the classified or secret marks were not as clear as they were supposed to be on the emails that are the issue, so while it was true that Comey did criticize Clinton, he should not had criticized as harshly based on what was concluded. There is then no contradiction on Clinton not lying while at the same time to point that secrets would had been obtained by our enemies. But AFAIK most of the hacks and cyber attacks were not made at Clinton’s server but at others close to her like the DNC.

When one does not remove the context, it is reasonable to think that Trump remains a cad by getting chummy with Russia and requesting their aid against his political enemies.

All of the above, and then some.

There are like twenty five things on that list where Trump is demonstrably worse than Nixon.

Nixon was not an ignoramus who didn’t read books. He believed in science. He was a student of international relations, once of the most successful in that regard of any President.

Nixon was paranoid and corrupt in the end but he tried to be a good President. Trump would make no such effort.

I probably should have included something about Trump’s stomping on the first amendment, as witnessed by his bullying of members of the press (Megyn Kelly), denying the Washington Post credentials and access, promising to “eliminate political correctness” (how, exactly, Mr. Trump?), etc.

We had another example of his thin-skinnedness when he talked openly about wanting to punch people who gave speeches at the DNC.

Here’s one that didn’t make much news and while I certainly don’t it’s the worst thing that he’s done it has always seemed super weird to me.

Donald Trump was dubious that any grandparent could talk about their grandkids for more than a minute.

What the fuck is that about?

Link? From your description, I certainly have no idea. Maybe it’s a swipe at the young generation supposedly being terrible.

Link

My recollection was wrong. It wasn’t a minute it was nine or ten seconds.

Ah, it’s Trump trying to cast doubt that the conversation between Loretta Lynch and Bill was innocent. I.e. they couldn’t possibly have spent all that time discussing their grandchildren.

I’m a recent grandparent – go on, ask me about my grandchild. I dare you.
