Which ONE Crime Would You Like The True Answer To?

OK we all know that Lizzie Borden took an ax and gave her father 40 whacks and when she saw what she could do, she gave her mother 42. But she was found “not guilty,” so did she? (OK the rhyme is totally screwed up from the facts, but…)

We all know OJ is guilty or do we?

And we all know that Lindbergh Baby was kidnapped by Bruno Richard Hauptmann or do we?

Just like we know DB Cooper died after parachuting out of the plane?

If you could pick one crime and go back in time and tape it so there would be no doubt whatsoever, which one would you pick to witness and tape?

I would also include things like the Black Dhalia, which was never solved

But for the purposes of this thread it has to be a crime, not like a disappearance, like Jimmy Hoffa. We would assume some crime was involved but no one can be 100%.

I’d like the identity of Jack the Ripper. Though I’m fairly sure that if his name was finally revealed, we’d all say “Who?”

Certainly none of the “case closed” claims has stood up to investigation, particularly the various famous names that have been accused.

I would like to know what (if any) role Amanda Knox actually played in her roomates’ death.

IF she was indeed involved, she is truly evil; both for the murder of Meridith Kercher and for convincing her parents that she is an innocent victim of circumstance, and letting them spend over a million dollars defending her…

Black Dahlia…some of the theories are so twisted*, I’d really like to know what really happened…

I’m not sure whether I’d be more disappointed if the real answer was as twisted as the theories, or simple and straightforward.

  • I’m thinking particularly of Steve Hodel’s…er…‘evidence’, for want of a better word, that his father did it.

I have just enough conspiracy nuttiness in me to want to know, without doubt, what happened with the JFK assassination.

JonBenet Ramsey. I know that makes me sound pervy but I got really interested in it a while ago and it’s such a bizarre case. Her family was ruled out but the way it was done, it looked so much like an inside case…

ETA: I’m not the only one. I don’t feel so skeevy.

If I can have a second choice, I would say the murders of the Rafay family - probably another wrongful conviction.

When I watched the 48 Hours episode (I think it was a 2 hour special) about the case, there was not much doubt in my mind that those two were absolutely guilty…

I dont want to spend hours pouring over a website, but do you have something fairly concise that I could read that casts doubt on their guilt?

I promise I would read it with an open mind.

Yes, I guess the JFK would be nice just to show everyone it was Oswald alone.

However, learning 100% who the Zodiac killer was would be nice. I’m sure he’s dead, though.

Gets my vote as well. The case against the WM3 was lousy. I can’t say for sure they didn’t do it, (though I don’t think they did), but there is too much doubt to send those boys to jail.
