Which ONE Crime Would You Like The True Answer To?

OH, actually I change my answer. I’ve always wanted to know ifCindy James was actually suffering from a sadistic stalker who eventually murdered her, or if she was insane and delusional and killed herself.

Add my vote for the Lindbergh Kidnapping. I read Noel Behn’s book and found it convincing. Either Behn was lying his head off (could he get away with that? weren’t many of his facts checkable?) or the list of coincidences is too large. (Lindbergh failed to appear at a dinner where he was honored guest. Wild Bill Donovan a house guest before the alleged kidnapping …)

One of my instructors had previously been in charge of the New Jersey State Police Museum. He had acess to all of the actual evidence. Since his duties were not exactly time consuming he had a lot of time to look into the case. He was convinced and he convinced me that Bruno Hauptmann was absolutely guilty of being part of the plot to kidnap Lindbergh Jr. I believe he was not the only one involved.

And what does Bill Donovan have to do with anything? Because 10 years later he was head of the OSS? In 1932 he was running for governor of New York. Was he the kidnapper?

Of course I’m at the mercy of Behn’s possible lies or exaggerations, but he claims Donovan was invited to Lindbergh’s home during the days between the child’s death and the kidnapping report; and that Donovan helped plan the hoax, something that as eventual OSS founder would be right “up his alley.”

I plead guilty to gullibility. Still, I wonder if any of Behn’s specific claims have been disproved.

I would still like to know who broke into our minivan a few months ago. I still haven’t gotten around to finding another copy of the book I was reading, and I was at a really good part.

I haven’t read the book so I can’t comment on that. Donovan was given the OSS because he was a war hero, had international experience, and most importantly a friend of FDR. Not because he was sneaky. During WWII the OSS was a military organization more so than what the CIA evolved into.

I’m still wondering about that one episode of SVU where they didn’t tell you the verdict.

Adam Walsh

On a non-personal level, I want Billy Wayne Cope to be exonerated, since I think he’s almost certainly innocent, and was convicted of about the worst thing imaginable.

There’s no mystery about who really did it, but I would bet a million dollars that he was not an accomplice as claimed.

That is interesting.

It’s so tragic because his surviving daughters think he’s guilty and his wife died, and just EVERY SINGLE THING was taken from this poor man. He’s just not a very appealing guy and I’m sure that affected the outcome of his trial, but I think he’s completely innocent. I feel so bad for him.

What was his Wife’s opinion?

That was solved already…

The Driver Did it…

She believed in his innocence. Then she got cancer and her caregiver defrauded her. These people just can’t get a fucking break.

Wow, that story makes me sick.

I’d say JonBenet Ramsey. After following the case all these years, I’ve been on the fence until recently. Now that I have decided in my mind what happened :D, I’d go with finding out who killed Stevie Branch, Christopher Byers and Michael Moore.

Thankfully, the WM3 have rightfully (IMO) been released, I’d like to see the truth come out. Of course, I have my theories on this case, too.

It’s terrible. I don’t understand how that can even happen. It’s like South Carolina is vying to be the new Texas or something. Did you see pictures of Cope and Sanders (the guy who actually did it, as proved by DNA evidence, for anyone who didn’t click the link)? Do they fucking LOOK like they would have been friends to the point where Cope invited Sanders over to help him rape and murder his daughter? There is absolutely zero evidence of them having ever come into contact.

I have read the prosecution’s side of the story and remain 100% unconvinced. His case is in appeals now and I hope the right thing happens.

An update on the Jacob Wetterling case.

I’d like to know who stole my dad’s full-sized van 15 years ago and took it on a goddamn joyride.

Pretty much everything’s been said, and yeah it’s a zombie, but I’m still back to Jack T. Ripper. JFK, Borden, Lindbergh… all enough “solved” that I wouldn’t waste the shot on them.
