Not bad!! :D:D
Without wanting to hijack too much, this is a very provincial view. It is hardly a stretch to suggest that much of what you define as “traditional biblical values” would be foreign and perhaps even antithetical to many Christian traditions both modern and from antiquity.
It would be more apt to call them “20th-century American biblical values”.
Anybody care to explain the difference between being able to take flack and being simply obtuse?
From reading this thread I would guess that if you agree with them they are able to take flack. If you disagree they are obtuse.
What does Captain Carrot’s views on Christianity and Scylla have to do with his views on the Jedi? Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like Cap’n thinks Scylla is misinterpreting Christianity, while at the same time he sees value in Jedi philosophy. So?
I’m gonna say Bricker.
[sub]I am excluding those unflappable posters who are completely disconnected from reality.[/sub]
Well, my post was tongue in cheek. Still, you’re being kind.
I wasn’t commenting on Captain Carrot “views on Christianity” as much on his view on Scylla, who he said had “gone crazy.”
I’m hard pressed seeing the crazy in Scylla’s views from a guy who’s [near] advocating for the Jedi religion.
I’d be interested in your expanded thoughts on this.
I see. That makes more sense.
Still, I see less crazy in the Jedi way than some American conservative philosophies, but that’s just me
We’ll just agree to disagree. Enough of a hijack, in either case.
Please take the hijack elsewhere-this is a poll.
Who was that directed towards? If me, I know; I said it was “enough of a hijack”.
