Which Republican, other than Trump, do you want to lose next year?

I regret that as an Ohio resident I cannot vote against SenatorRob Portman until 2022.

That being the case in 2020 I will have to content myself with voting against my rotten Republican, jointly owned by NRA & American Legislative Exchange Council, state representative Gayle L. Manning. She and her equally rotten son, Nathan Manning, have taken to trading Ohio state house and state senate seats between themselves to finagle around term limits. I hope to throw out Nathan along with Portman in 2022.

I’ll have to wait 'til 2022, but I can’t wait to vote against Jim Banks again. Not that it’ll make any difference - the only way he’s getting voted out is if he gets primaried. Which’ll never happen unless he grows some pride and stops licking Trump’s spittle.

(Personal anecdote: I went to high school with Banks, and for all he talks about how disadvantaged he was growing up, I can attest that he was that kid who had his own cell phone in the mid '90s.)

Ditto.

And Meadows is out! He’s decided not to run.

Not sure that link will work for everyone since it’s to our local paper, so here’s the gist:

He’s the third NC House Republican to announce he won’t be running again in the wake of the recent redistricting.

Was the district ungerrymandered and he doesn’t believe he can win?

It’s a republican-leaning district. I would interpret his retirement to mean that being in a leaning district isn’t good enough in today’s hyper-polarized environment. My guess is that he’s concluded: Keep what’s in the war chest and save it for a race that’s a safer bet in the future.

It became competitive, but it was still his to lose. I’d lay good money that he will have a job with the Trump administration within the next few months, he though, and I think that’s his career plan.

It’s already been said, but I couldn’t resist - Mitch. It would be absolutely EPIC if he lost.

Could be a short career (he obviously hasn’t learned by observing, either).

I was going to say DINO Tulsi Gabbard, but she saved us the trouble. Total wacko.

Not in my district, but Matt Shea, a state legislator. An bi=partisan nquiry found him guilty of domestic terrorism for collaborating with Ammon Bundy, and
The report found that Shea had trained young people to fight a “holy war," condoned intimidating opponents and promoted militia training by the Patriot Movement for possible armed conflict with law enforcement Even his own party, the GOP, is calling for him to step down, but he refuses, calling it a “sham investigation.”

It’d take 2/3 of the state legislature to kick him out, but despite booting him from the GOP caucus, moving his office, and calling on him to resign, the GOP is reluctant to boot him out. And too many of his Spokane Valley constituents have swallowed the Kool-Aid to knock him out of the state legislature. I really, really wish he’d lose.

The entire school of Rectal Remoras, formerly known as the Republican Party.

All of them, Katie!
