Which should I play first? Tales from the Borderlands of Life is Strange?

Both have their final chapters hitting on October 20. I have played neither game, as I wait for these story-based games to finish being released before playing them.

I have played both Walking Dead games and The Wolf Among Us. Enjoyed both a lot.

Anyway, for those who have played these games, which one do you think is the better one? Which one do you recommend to play first?

Have you played Borderlands/Borderlands 2? If not, I don’t know that you’ll get much from TFTB, which is a walky-talky story “game.” Even as a big fan of the games, I set it aside for someday after a few minutes.

I have not played either main Borderlands games.

Having said that, I like story games like the ones Telltale has made before.

TFTB is tied pretty tightly to the three games (a bit less so to The Pre-Sequel). Everything is pretty “inside,” the way Star Trek fanfic pretty much requires that you know the related universe, and the Borderlands franchise is heavy-heavy on story and characters. As sort of “official fanfic,” I don’t know how much the Tales storyline will hold up on its own.

I risked it and bought Tales from the Border lands for $8.50 today at Steam.

Yeah, you commented on my Steam purchase when you bought it :p.

I’ve heard mixed things about Life is Strange. I’ve heard it’s super good from some people, and really weak from others, so it seems a bit polarizing. The most balanced viewpoint I’ve heard is that, if you can stand bad lip syncing, it’s good but not mindblowing.

Did I really? Ha, hilarious. And my bad!

I’m playing “Beginner’s Guide”, the follow up to the Stanley Parable right now. I think after that, I’ll play Tales from the Borderlands.

Started Tales from the Borderlands.

Very funny. I don’t feel lost or that I’m missing out that much from not having played the main games.
