Which Six Flags is your favorite?

Yesterday I went on an all day trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. We had about 100 middle school through high school students from Las Vegas out there for about 8 hrs and it was a great time. We are returning next week with a new group of students and I am looking forward to it. While I was there though, the trip got me thinking about Six Flags in general.

I grew up about 20-30 minutes away from Six Flags: Great Adventure and I went there frequently each summer. I have been to Six Flags: Over Georgia about 12 times, Six Flags: Over Mid-America 4 times, Six Flags: New England once (I went 3 times when it was Riverside) and Six Flags: Ohio one time.

In my opinion, Magic Mountain is the most comparable to Great Adventure in terms of the overall quality and quantity of high-level coasters. The other parks had their own share of good points but my ranking puts Great Adventure at the top of my list.

Magic Mountain comes close because they seem to focus on challenging the riders expectations more than Great Adventure. At GA, you expect to see the fastest or tallest. While I was at MM I had none of those expectations but I did experience roller coasters in ways I never thought of.

I would also like to reassure my neighbors in OH, WV and PA I didn’t forget about Cedar Point, but it is not a Six Flags park.

So, what do you love about your favorite Six Flags park?

How do the roller coasters compare to CP?

Yeah, CP has 17, but out of those 17, my favs only number to 5.

Tell me about MM.

Thanks
