I had no idea that people hated the smileys so much. They seem so innocuous to me. I voted for the embarrassed one because it doesn’t look embarrassed, but I don’t hate any of them.

I voted for Mr. Rolleyes. He makes me annoyed when I see him, and he’s mean.

No, it was a guy who wrote his name like that and used a smiley to dot the “i”. He was a piece of work in other respects as well. Bimbos can be male or female.
No matter their intention, though, it makes them look such a boor. Even if they’re RIGHT, I instinctively start arguing with them or disagreeing with them. It’s petty–I can think of at least one example where the rolly eye made me start up an argument or discussion where I assumed the other party was wrong when they were clearly right. It’s like the difference between saying, “I think you made a mistake here” in a normal tone of voice and saying it in a put upon tone and sighing irritably.
But hey, if your intention is for me to hate you, go right ahead and use el Snotto.
