I’ll go with Christina Applegate’s character from Up All Night. She’s smart, has a job that pays enough that I wouldn’t have to work, and I’ve had a crush on Applegate since I was a teen in the '80s.
Leah Rehmi from King of Queens pre-baby. As long as she doesn’t speak.
Debora Barone from Everybody Loves Raymond. Also as long as she doesn’t speak. And before she dropped to like 65lbs.
Yeah, but then you would be stuck in the unfunny train wreck of Up All Night.
As for my choice.. Hmmm. Didn’t Mary Richards start off married? Well, I pick her. I always liked that version of Mary Tyler Moore best. Although, Laura Petrie is fine, too, if my divorcee loophole doesn’t work out.
Second choice: Pam from The Office.
I’m surprised there’s been no mention yet of Zoe.
Seconded. Looks, brains, devotion, a good father and a good provider. And they seem to have a great sex life. Pretty much the whole package.
Fran Fine, played by Fran Drescher, aka The Nanny. Is there really any other choice?
Claire from Modern Family.
The mom (Lois?) from Family Guy.
She’s single on the show but Ann from Parks and Recreation.
Hmm…I’ll either take Bill Bixby in The Courtship of Eddie’s Father or Edward Mulhare from The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (they weren’t really married, Captain Gregg being dead and all, but they might as well have been).
StG
Yep, her. She’s hot. And beautiful. And smart, and kind. My kinda woman. Although I liked her better on ER.
SS
Yeah, but then you would be stuck with one of the worst actresses on TV.
I don’t know how long the marriage would last, but it would be an enjoyable happyfunnysexy time with Amy Pond as my new missus.
Added bonus: No matter where I would work, I’d have the hottest wife in the office. ![]()
I can’t believe that we’re on the third page and no one’s mentioned Sheriff Andy Taylor (he was married to Helen Crump by the reunion TV movie).
Common sense, family man, sense of justice, sense of humor, loves music and handsome as all get out. Plus he drives a car with a light and siren.
No love for Trixie Norton?
I said June Cleaver earlier, but admittedly, she was constantly having problems with the Beaver.
Excellent choice! While I adored Emily Hartley, I don’ t think she could handle heavy weaponry like Zoe could. ![]()
I’m catching up on this thread, telling my wife about all the competition I have for Mrs. Petrie. Then I mentioned how often Gomez Addams has been mentioned, and Mrs. Cretin immediately said “Yeah, I can see that.” Told me that (as a teenager in the mid 60’s) she thought he was the best thing about The Addams Family, and she found him attractive.
.
I’d take either Gomez or Morticia Adams in a heartbeat. If they’re both unavailable, I’d want Niles Crane or Phoebe Buffay.
Has anyone mentioned Mrs Emma Peel yet?
Raquel Trotter or Trudy Monk, (from what we see in flashbacks and the “Trudy” that advises Monk occasionally)
Or Wash, who would be my choice.
Quirky sense of humor, smart, and absolutely loyal. But I’d probably have to fight Zoe for him and that battle is one I would definitely lose.
But he’s so cute!
Yes. Mr. Emma Peel.
