Holy crap. She does not seem it. She seems about my age. How old would she have been in bend it like beckham then?
Bosda - that was inappropriate and you owe gex an apology. Seriously. He’s allowed his opinion about Norah Jones - I happen to disagree with his POV, but that isn’t the point - he wasn’t rude or inappropriate, just stating his view.
And as for your statement about who would or wouldn’t do live performances, you are really off-base, too. gex is right to cite the White Stripes - think of them what you will, but Jack White has done his homework and gets it from a music/roots/blues standpoint. It’s not really up for debate. Anthony Minghella, the director of Cold Mountain, had Jack play a Civil War character singing folk tunes and he wrote one for the movie. That qualifies as unplugged, no?
Okay, I happen to think Norah Jones’ first album is good and she seems to understand how to position her music - and gex is wrong, she isn’t the self-absorbed poetry type. But lighten up.
And as for my original post to this thread - Natalie Portman has had nothing to work with in the Star Wars movies - just see Beautiful Girls and the Professional and you can tell she’s got it. And Keira Knightly is 19…sigh.
If I was a little harsh, I do indeed apologise.
I wasn’t denying it. It just surprised me that’s all. She seems quite a bit older.
I’d have to say one of the smaller T Tauri stars currently forming in the Orion nebula and destined for main-sequence spectral class M. Those red dwarfs have interminably long lifespans!
Figured someone by now would have mentioned Alexis Bledel from Gilmore Girls.
Okay, I’ll be first.
Cool.
Natalie Portman stole every scene she was in in Beautiful Girls. She was so adorable.
