It’s funny in a way. I see the SDMB like having 500 channels of TV. Sometimes I cruise through these forums and find scads and scads to comment on, read, occupy my time and so forth.
Then at other times, like today, for some reason, I can’t find anything that catches my fancy.
I skip from MPSIMS to IMHO to the Cafe to The Pit to GQ and GD and finally I end up reading something like a sticky in ATMB… that I’ve read a hundred times before.
I’m sure that the posters of the SDMB haven’t gotten any less interesting. I’m sure that it’s this boredom of mine leaking out of my head in such a way to make anything other than SLEEPING seem like something I’m not interested in.
I sort of consider this the online equivilant of the “seven minute lull” in part conversation …
This doesn’t respond directly to the op - but if you go to “view new posts” from the main message board instead of going from forum to forum, I find that it is easier to find something of interest and it is much more varied!!! But then, I don’t post often, but I do come here and lurk quite frequently…
Just wanted to say I feel about the same as TV guy. Some days there are too many interesting threads and not enough time and other days (like today) too much time and no threads that really catch my eye.
I’m blaming the holiday weekend and will just have to find some RL stuff to occupy me until Rue’s MMP!
Another “Me Too” here. Some days, I’m like a kid with a bajillion presents to open, each one better than the last, and other days, I’m toying with my cold spaghetti wondering when it’d be too soon to leave the table.
Yeah, that was profound. Bear in mind that I’m sleep deprived today. <yawn>
