A dust cloth which has a cute little advertisment on it: “Wipe Out Axy Dent on the Santa Fe”, complete with a crazy looking little character (obviously Mr. Dent); a sho-nuff wooden train whistle; a wooden spinning top, with string; a one-euro coin (they have those in Texas??); and a photograph of the ‘nature walk bridge at Gates Gardens’ which is quite pretty.
By chance do some of the defectors cancel each other out? If person A was sending to person B and both A and B dropped out, that’s at least one package that doesn’t need to be lined up with a new sender. Just a thought…
Glad you liked it. The pens were all pilfered from work. I love those type of pens, but I have tons of them, and felt like someone else would get some use out of them.
:smack:
i havent forgotten to send the package! I just havent finished it yet - and, for some reason I thought we had til the end of the month so I marked it on my calendar to get it off no later than THIS Saturday. :smack::smack::smack:
So, I beg forgiveness and request my receipiant be patient with me - I promise, no balls of twine!
Typically what happens is that the people who send out their packages as soon as they get their name are the ones that don’t recieve anything.
And frankly, if people aren’t going to send shit out, they shouldn’t sign up for these things. I’ve had two people contact me, apologize for needing to drop out, and droping out. Those people have done the right thing.
The people that sign up for these things with no intention of ever sending out a package, or that wait until after two deadlines to pass to e-mail me and whine about their circumstances piss me off in a big, fat way.
You know who you are. Don’t be so lame. Send your friggin’ packages already.
My elephant is here! It’s like Christmas in October!
I arrived home from work today and a couple of packages awaited me. One was my elephant from TEDFaerie! It was in a lovely box from Joann’s so I knew to expect expect something crafty. What did I get?
Two nifty books, “How To Be A Villain” and “The Villain’s Guide To Better Living” (Jayjay and I will be sharing those. I can’t wait to read them on break at work…)
A pretty dragonfly patch
A votive candle holder, decorated with beads and bangles
A soft (mohair?) and lovely stocking cap
and a very nice pen with some sort of native american style elk design on it.
Thank you so much TEDFaerie! We will enjoy it all here.
Tristan, my poodle - MAIL YOUR DAMN PACKAGE ALREADY!!! PUT A PAPERBACK BOOK OR SOMETHING IN IT TO FILL IT UP AND MAIL THE BASTARD!!! YOU’VE MISSED TWO DEADLINES!!!FOR THE LOVE OF PETE SHIP THAT MO-FO OUT!!!
I had fun trying to put together a bunch of stuff for you. I dabble in Santa Fe railroad history, and that is a true Santa Fe “red rag.” I bought a bunch of them on Ebay, and use them when I display railroad antiques. That rag was probably used by an engineer on the railroad.
The top came from Mexico, a gift from a friend after he saw me spinning an old top that was one of my favorite toys as a boy.(yes, I am that old!) The Euro came to me from Europe from a guy who bought a wrench from my website and I had him pay me in Euros just for fun.
The photo is one of my own, I am a serious amateur photographer.
Maybe today’s mail will bring my Elephant.
I really am glad that I joined in the fun, and will start NOW looking for things for next year!
Woooo Hoooo!! My WE was here waiting for me to get home with some very interesting treasures inside!
